We likely can not use Nissan's sales tactics as predictions of the future, however, they are just about giving NISMO 350s away around me (new for $25k).

Someone asked about how much more money you'd need on top of your car. I want to understand this correctly - you said your car plus $4k for a 370Z with sports package and leather seats (the reason for the leather seat add-on is beyond me, but so be it).
Depending on all the little options (trunk mat, floor mats, splash shields, etc.), that car's MSRP (base plus Sport) is ~$34,000 with destination charge. From what I've seen, that car would easily be negotiated to $32k. That means they are giving you about $28k for your NISMO trade-in? If my math and assumptions are correct, that is very hard to believe. They can't put $3k on that car and sell it for $31k. Something isn't right. . .

2008 red nismo for sale in NC for 36,900 with 6 thousand miles on it, they are not coming off of price, I dont know where everyone is finding so low priced nismos for sale?
highest OLD model (highest to the old standard) to standard NEW model (the new and higher standard).
It's still a downgrade regardless if its the "older model". It's like going from a C5 Z06 corvette to a newer base corvette, it may be newer, but it's a lower model. I'd rather own a limited edition "OLD" model than a massed produced newer model.

negative, much like the NISMO 350z, NISMO 370z's are also going to be a limited production.

You mean a C5 Z06 to a standard C6? Price aside, most would consider that an upgrade.

LOL. You keep on going back to limited vs. Mass produced. Do u think your car is somehow better bc it has a number? I'm not saying the 370 is better just bc it's newer, I'm saying it's better because it's better. I'm not comparing vettes to each other, I'm comparing a 350 to a 370. New cars are not always better than their predacessors but this is the case with the z. Just like a base 08 is better than an 03 enthusiast. The model level is irrelevent bc Nissan decided to raise the bar on what they consider the standard.
Ps. I see your sig, please don't get butt hurt. You still have a great car.

Fixed! Z32 > Z33. You know you wish Z33s had turbos!
Well, I would like to thank everyone on your opionions. They were helpful. I drove the 370 today and it is a nice car. A few things I did notice is the lack of visiability threw the side windows. Believe it I didn't even know I used them until I didn't have them to look threw. The test car had a few miles on it and had quite a few chips in the paint and a dent in the hood. Thank goodness the 350s are made of steel. At least they won't dent as easy. One more thing the stainless trimings inside are all plastic. Feels cheep. Maybe they put it in the hood. Looks like I'll be keeping this car for a while. Maybe until they update it again in six years.

there is a reason that dealership still has that nismo on their lot.
here is a black one with 3700 miles and they are asking 29.5k buy it now but they are also taking offers.

It is a major upgrade, I went from the C5 Z06 to a LS3. The newer base car is much better to drive, easier to shift, Xenon, less noise and a little better interior. Quality is still iffy....
OP, I would not trade a Nismo 350z for a 370z. Depreciation and first year car usually is problematic, but I would for a Nismo 370z.
there is absolutely no similarity at all with a 350z and a mustang.
Do research before talking, it's not just a Mustang it was SCCA (Trans am)champion car won more years than a 350z has,so your right, you could say the GT 350 is better than the 350Z Nismo!!!
