When replacing gears on a Diff you should always replace the Ring gear bolts, pinion nut, pinion crush sleeve and pinion oil seal. If you are changing final drive ratio's you may need to change side Lash adjustment shims. Depending on how many miles are on the car? You may also want to replace the bearings while in there. I have a low mileage car so I won't be needing bearings.

PS: No Clutch and Flywheel upgrades till I boost.....
When I do... I am thinking of using either an ATS Twin disk w/ Chromoly flywheel or an OS Giken clutch/flywheel.. But 1st I plan to install some gauges. Water temp and oil temp and AFR. Thinking AEM or Defi on a Pillar mount

Will be picking up the car later today. The shop ran into an Issue installing the Quaife LSD thats suppose to be a direct replacement for the VLSD! I was told over the phone that the clearences are off and that it was not a direct replacement. Machining was involved in order for the Diff to clear. Will find out more later.
Its currently being Dyno tuned as I type this.

Here's a couple update shots. Sorry for the quality of the pics. Using my 3.2 Mg cell phone. Forgot my Camera at my Buddys house. Opps! Car is a mess! 4 hour drive home in the rain.
HKS alittle dirty from the road spray. Need to be polished up. Here's the Nismo Diff cover.
As for the gears...... The 4.08's breath new life into the CAR! Highway speeds in 5th & 6th gear provide excellent passing acceleration. Leaving the Toll booths there is most definately a noticeable increase in pull. I did not notice any increased shifting in traffic that others have described All in all...... Its alot more fun to drive. I didn't Romp on it due to the wet road conditions. Looking forward to seeing how the car performs in the mountains this weekend.
