Default Nismo rear bumper design flaw?

A few months ago I noticed a bracket on the inside right of my bumper had broken free. I went to a bodyshop and had new holes drilled through the bracket and bumper to reattach it.
Today I find the bracket on the inside left of my bumper has broken off too. Anyone else had this problem? There is no sign of any impact to the bumper.

That was a problem with mine as well. Because of the broken brackets it caused the bumper to become a little flimsy and I have some spiderweb cracking in bumper. Got it replaced and resprayed but still have some issues.

Best thing to do is just ignore it if its not causing any major problems and staying on. I have found so many little things about this car that dont fit flush or have some wiggle room. I also have OCD.

I look at is as a good thing. I drive the **** out of my car now even more because I'm not so worried about keeping it in prestine condition...

And wow, is it fun to drive

Thanks for the info guys. I ordered this bumper from ebay and its not coming with those brackets. I will make my own with better mounting than the stock ones.

Too much vibration on the bottom part of the bumper from wind turbulance. Thats where they should of put those Yamaha dampiners at that area as well.....LOL

I dont have a Nismo(yet) I was wondering can you see this bracket when looking under the car? When I finally purchase one..I will check these brackets, if I can.
