Got my car dynoed for the second time today. I got my car dynoed after I had the Uprev tune done about a yr ago, and I cant find the old dyno graph because I have gotten a new computer since, the last one crashed. I put out 274.7 whp and 239.6 torque, originally. I have installed the Stillen Generation 3 Long tube intakes over the weekend and finally got the results today. The temps were about 43 degrees at 10 AM this morning and the garage was pretty cold as well. I put out 291.4 whp, and over 250 tq. I feel the results, and it is really something else!!!! I put the dyno graph up, sorry I couldn't retrieve the old one. If i do ever find it again, I will post it. Hope You can see the picture, i had to convert it to JPEG after it was sent as a WMF file to my Mac.

 

Nice numbers! How come the car wasn't pushed to 7500 rpm?

Did you pick the Osiris Standard or the Flash Service? Looking to do this in the near future.

 

The Gen 3 CAI is your only performance mod? If so thats excellent!
BTW 227 is not your max torque that just happens to be where max whp is.

 

Osiris Standard. Didnt retune after, I dont have the cash flow to do it since i spent 100 on the dyno nd 550 on the intakes. I am going to get it retuned once i get my exhausts nd test pipes

16whp gain with just the stillen gen 3's, not too bad.

 

Why is your torque so low? Anyone else think so? I'm dynoing around 280 with over 265lb/f of torque..

edit: wicked gains from the intakes however!

 

yeah, I noticed that too, but the dyno didnt record the peak torque for some reason. I misinterpreted the tq of 227 as the amount that was delivered at the peak output. If you look at around 4700 rpm, you will see it is over 250 foot pounds, (reminds me, I need to edit my first post, I screwed up my numbers because my tuner that did my dyno the first time confirmed I had 239 tq, because he has a cell phone video from wen he taped the dyno numbers. He isnt able to send it(cheap, FTL)). I am getting an exhaust in the next couple weeks and gettin resonated test pipes. I will do another dyno then another tune after. Maybe that will bring the torque numbers up. It pulls VERY good though, I assure you.

I don't think you can determine the torque from the graph provided.

 

I put 252 because on the graph its what its closest too but i can be off or on about 10 ft pounds, I am aware of that.

 

These #'s are misleading. What dyno are you using? Mise well keep using it seeing how this is the dyno you started on...

Just for reference... I am at 296 whp with 241 wtq with little to no correction on a Mustang Dyno. Full bolt on Modded Nismo. Only way I could possibly tweak anymore out of her is to get some GTM test pipes and have another map created for race gas!

Using a Dynomite Dynameter. They just got it this yr. Its brand new, pretty much. A 2007 stock z went on last week and cranked out 269.2 whp. Thats pretty consistent with the other HR's and its what I cranked out, add a few hp, before these intakes. I noticed a gain right away once these intakes were put in, and its no BS. Overall, Im happy with it.

 

The Stillen site states "Installation Requires Mild Enlarging of Core Support
CARB Pending, DOES Fit NISMO 350Z, (Oil or Trans Cooler Req Custom Mod)." Did you have to modify anything major to get these to fit? Any pictures? Any concerns of getting the filters wet when driving in the rain?

 

Brick, I did not have to trim anything. The inner layer of the intake support comes out with a few screws with the stock intake. The tubes fit in with a good amount of room to move it around. I am not concerned with water because lookin at it, it sits high enough where water will not really reach that spot unles its comin down horizontally by an act of God straight into the grill opening. The only thing i had to do was move the horns further down and screw them into the core support. took like 10 minutes to do that. It was a great experience and it was worth it. Ill put the best pics that I have of it up.

 

The Nismo vehicles do not require the same trimming that a non-Nismo edition does..

 

Your front tires look realy fat....... Whats the tire specs for the rear 275/35/19's? I like how the rear tires look.

 

Yeah, I upgraded all 4 tires recently. The fronts are now 265/40/18. The rears are 285/35/19. The tires I wanted had to be in these sizes, and they feel GREAT. The front tires aren't as fat as they look because the sidewalls on these tires are totally different than the stock ones and they are more "race-like". They are Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's. Amazing tires.
