Default Xmas came early :)

Santa came to my house earlier just for me. X02 Dual exhaust. Got it installed today. Its way louder than stock, but sounds great! Got it installed at Hendricks Autoworks(He's kin to Hendricks Motorsports). He told me that the exhaust will quiet down after theres some carbon buildup along the walls of the exhaust. I am amazed at how much heavier the stock exhaust was compared to the new exhaust. Will let you know how it rides after some miles, it just snowed alot here in Virginia, so the roads are still messy. Its not lettin me post pics due to a security token being missing? Will post pics asap!!!

Whats the point of paying an extra G for just a name? Performance is the same, sound is close and subjective anyhow, weight is very close etc etc.

yeah yeah yeah I know. But honestly, looking under the car, It looks damn good to me. I sprayed it with VHT clear coat on the pipes, and drove it for 30 minutes, and let it set. Gonna keep doing it till it cures fully. Honestly, Id rather save the additional 1k and add resonated tp, high flow cats, or an X pipe. The x pipe I am going to do soon, with the Magnaflow one. Honestly, It sounds really good, I have had people telling me it sounds like an exotic. When I am cruising, it sounds just minimally louder than stock. They don't salt the roads in Virginia, they use sand. We had a big snowstorm here last week and its all sand, sand, sand. Ive been trying to post pics the past couple days now but the site isnt lettin me so i am trying a different method.

It's not the same. It's quality, and the fact that HKS is the real company that spent the time and money into the research, and design. The copy cat just duplicates, with cheap materials (the reason the name brand is more $$$)

As a matter of fact, it's comments like that, that drive up the prices of legit parts. The real company loses money because people as yourself have it in your head that "it's the same thing," so they have to make up for the lost money somewhere to pay for the R & D.

That's the difference.

Looks nice on your NISMO.

Plenty of people swear by this exhaust, although I would never purchase it.

Actually its competition that would drive down the price of the HKS. If company A has a product at $1k and sell 1K units a year. Then company B comes out with a product at $500 and bring an additional 1K consumers to the market because of the new lowered retail and also grabs 500 of the 1000 original consumers annually. It will force company A to lower their retail to gain back market share assuming the profit margins are still there.

They would not raise price in the face of aggresive competitive pricing.

enjoy the rust, it should free up some weight on your nismo when your exhaust falls off.

Or it will last 4 years until it rusts and he can buy another set at that point and still be $500 ahead of the people who paid for the HKS.... To each his own. No point knocking the guy because he is on a budget.

not worries about rust. Coated it in VHT cleared paint before installation. I'm in the south, and unlike where I hail from NY, they don't use salt on the roads. I only drive my car 60 percent out of the year, as I am still in college, and don't bring my Nismo on campus. I couldve gotten HKS, sure, but I would rather put the 1k towards a tune nd an x pipe, which I have just ordered, and resonated test pipes.

yes!, I will take a video at some point on wednesday when my buddy comes over to wash cars. He has a G so we have like a Z/G wash going. Will take a video then. Also, I will also take another video within a few days after I have the new x pipe welded in to show a comparison with the stock h pipe to the new z pipe from magnaflow. Thanks for the comment!

It just lacks the Quality of the HKS system. I personally have never heard an X02 system before! Hope the performance is better then the Giants!!!! WTF

At least you represent your team! I'm a fellow Giants fan
