After much use, i've finally come to the point of replacing the stock RE-05's with either the nitto's or bridgestones but i cannot come to a decision, both have received great views so now i'm asking the fellow Z owner's, which tire did ya'll prefer the most? I usually SCCA the car and garage it, but sometimes i do get caught in the rain, so i'm looking for an extreme summer tire with some reasonable wet grip.

BTW, this is what the tire looked like brand new

I also was reminded of replacing the tires due to moderate rainfall that caused my rear of the Z to hydroplane at only 45 mph....fronts tho had excellent grip!
EDIT***** I'm just going for a direct change from the OEM RE-05's so the sizes are gonna be FRONT 245/40-18, REAR 265/35-19

What size tire are you running? The NT05 has limited size's in 19". I don't know anyone who has them so I can't comment, but the RE11 is a great tire. I just bought some AD08's and I will soon be going to my first auto-x of the year. They have had great reviews and so far on the street they are great.
If you are talking about the NT05R, race compound tires, the choice is obviously the R compounds.
Not sure why you'd get the street version if all you do is SCCA and then garage
teh NT05r will be lightyears better in grip and handling than the RE-11

The NT05R is a drag radial, I don't think that is what he is looking for and would not handle as well as the RE-11
