What does Edmunds TMV say? I saw a "new" 08' NISMO at the dealership for $25k, if that is any (sad) barometer.

Good luck finding or getting that deal.

$25k for a 'new' NISMO (couple hundred or less miles) is unheard of. Guys are paying $2.5k to $3.5k more for NISMO's with several thousand miles on them.

It's hard to even believe that the dealer would advertise it for $25k. Do you know if this NISMO sold, and if so for how much?

It ain't going to be easy to try and sell the NISMO yourself. Here are the TMV numbers based on the year and mileage.

Trade in: $20,718
Private Party: $22,850
Dealer Retail: $24,524

It had 17 miles on it and was never titled. I was there shopping, and that was the price they offered it to ME. It wasn't hearsay or otherwise; I was ready to sign for it but we didn't need another Z.

It did sell about a week later; I don't know how much they got for it. If I could have avoided the TTL fees, I would have bought it myself and sold it.

I dont track my car I have only taken traction control off twice since I bought it, I like the look of the Z, but I think I need to get something a little more practical, four doors maybe a mazdaspeed 3 or a VW GTI, Yes I will miss my Z.I wont miss all the atention you get in this car everywhere you go somebody waves or starts to ask questions about it, I figured if you dont know about the NISMO Z its not the car for you!

Yeah, I think your right. If you have a family, then its a practical reason. For a four door, maybe a Wrx STI. lol.

MMM..what guys are paying 2.5 to 3.5k more for a Nismo? I have watched every nismo auction on Ebay for the past 6months and I see the same ones being listed month after month, week after week..NO sale!
No one is buying these cars at the prices listed in the auctions. Only recently have there been two listings with reasonable(compared to listings in the past!) prices 25-27k.. and guess what they did NOT sell..mmm..

I guess there is always the other internet car ad sites, but I doubt they are selling, as those I have seen end up on Ebay eventually. Dealers/sellers really just need to get a clue when it comes to selling a 350z Nismo.
If they really want to sell them!

Cars on ebay don't sell period.

Look at the guys that posted recently on how much they paid for a NISMO... no one was anywhere near $25k!

Apparently they should be! That's the "NEW" price I saw one for at the local dealership.

Went to a dealer today, They offered me 22,000 for my prestine condition NISMO ....WTF!!!
I wish Nissan advertised this model better, the salespeople thought I put the body kit on my car, how are you suppose to get a fair trade out of the nismo when they compare it to all the 07 and 08 350z's , this makes no sense. Any helpfull ideas appriciated!

How much did you expect to get for it on a trade in? I showed you that the trade in value was just over $20k. I'm surprised they offered you anything close to it.

Dealers have to make money and they won't give you top dollar for a trade in. Especially when cars aren't selling.

You can try and sell it yourself, but that could take awhile depending on how much you want to let it go for.

The dealers are idiots. I traded in an 04 Infiniti G35 Coupe that should have had Brembos, but I had removed them and swapped them for the non-Brembos. They had no clue. They also tried to pass off an LE Titan, which comes standard with leather, BOSE, bedliner, etc., and they showed me the value of an LE titan with ADDED ON leather, BOSE, bedliner, etc. I called their bluff, and we negotiated to about 25% less than they were asking.

They need to know more about their own cars for sure, but knowing more about other cars would clearly help them as well. Their sales team should be wearing ties and not smoking outside, but such is life at Nissan.

Actually your wrong cars do sell on Ebay. As far as 350z's go on Ebay well it seems as though the earlier models are selling pretty good or at least those are the auctions showing the most bidder traffic! You can get an earlier model with mid range mileage for great prices. 350z Nismos don't sell on Ebay.
I have read the thread where guys have posted how much they paid recently for their 350Nismo, and I think I commented on a few of them!
Those guys are noobs, don't know the car/market, had daddy buy the car for them and were totally uneducated about what they were buying. And probably thought they were getting a good deal based on what they saw on the orig. window sticker. There is a sucka born every minute. I bet dollas to donuts that they are a bit P'od about how much they paid for their car.
Typical US consumer, sorry but true.

27k MAX for any 350zNismo with zero to under 10k miles ..imo.
