I've only gotten complements. I think the car is good looking from all angles, but what I really like about it, is that it's different.

Frankly I think thats why it draws so much attention. I've walked down Newbury Street in Boston (The most high end street in the city) hundreds of times just to check out the cars.

Being a car enthusiast I'll see a $90,000 Porsche and oogle it knowing what it's capable of, and notice that no one else even gives it a second glance.

Same with high end Mercedes, BMW M what have yous, and even Aston Martins.

I drove through it a few times with my Nismo and my girlfriend said she was getting creeped out because of the people looking at us.

The reason is, the car's dramatic lines, a wing, defined exaust, and offset colors with the gun metal wheels and yellow brake calipers really catch your eye. It also flows together, it isn't just a rice burner with random aftermarket bits attached.

The BMWs and Astons may be awesome and expensive cars, but most don't have a splitter, or a wing, or anything other than the standard silver wheels. So unless you know cars, the average person doesn't notice until they read the badge.

I love the way the Nismo drives, but it also doesn't hurt when you have to force yourself to not look back at it as not to be a tool, when you walk away from it in a garage sitting in that perfect light....

I've also had to do a loop a few times when I saw people standing around the car comming out of a movie or what not. I don't think it's bragging, I think it's a great feeling because for that $30 - 40K out of all the cars you could have bought, you know you picked a good one.
Great post. This sums up my feelings as well. I'm 31, about to turn 23 haha, and as someone said earlier it is the best handling car I've driven in many years. Also, I not only have younger guys looking at the car but just a week or two ago I had a guy every bit of being in his late 50's walking by me as I went into the bank just asking all kinds of questions about the car. He said, "I love the 350's but that particular one is nicer than the normal body styles." On the flip side, in regard to the body kit (the rear specifically), some people have said things about it but when I tell them it was designed for a specific purpose most just say ok and that it's not a big deal. Also, that turning around thing, yeah I do it too. It comes with the purchase of the Nismo. BTW, to the thread starter, go buy one.

+ 1 Lento... I am 47.. Yes 47.. I have a few cars for a few reasons. Some new some vintage. My beautiful wife says I am on my 9th mid life crisis. There are worse things. I bought my Nismo because I am so sick of Corvettes and Porsche's. I had a Corvette and sold it believe it or not because I quickly realized the D-Bags that buy them. Not all but most. I love the performance of a car... the engineering that goes into it... and the seat of the pants feel of it. I have been road racing motorcycles for 20 years and I know what I am looking for. I could find a faster car.. a better handling car.. but this nismo has many things those other cars do NOT have. The good thing about being 47 is I dont give a crap what people think or if they look or laugh. I love cars for what they are and how they make me feel. I worry about no one but myself and I LOVE my Nismo. I may actually start driving it...

+1 , I agree to everybody's opinions and the fact that it always leaves a good smile on your face when you look at it or ready to drive it!

I'm not saying you couldn't mod a regular 350z to handle better then a NISMO, but the NISMO is seam welded. You can't reproduce that!

And I agree with the above posts. Not only do I love driving it, but I love just looking at it!

.....and for the record I am 34, but I feel about 20 when I drive the NISMO!

When 1 woman is in a car with 3 guys and from the corner of your eye you can see her look at the car from front to rear TWICE and smiles
ha at 57 years old, with 5 grown kids and 8 grands, and she was old enough to be my daughter, she ain't smiling at the Gray in my face
'ITS GOT TO BE THE NISMO'
gotta lov it
P.S This car was built to RIDE
from corner to corner and side to side

I agree buy one because you love it and as long as you keep comparing cars there will always be one faster, handles better, more/less expensive! I've actually almost had someone wreck into me on the highway just trying to take a picture of the car, and for some reason non car people keep thinking it's a porsche from behind? haha then I correct them.

^+1

I think people think its a GT3 or something, because of the wing. IDK, but everytime someone tries to identify the car I would say its a 50/50 split whether they say Nissan or Porsche.

Could be worse, at least we get compared to a nice car.

I think people believe the Nismo is a lot more expensive than it actually is. A few people have come up to me and asked how I was paying for this, it looks very expensive.

Then I say, well its just a Nissan Z, it's not to bad.

Then they say..... O I had a 280Z, that car was friggen awesome!

The end

I think everyone has owned or knows someone who owned a Z at some point in time.
