Default 2007 nismo trade for 2003 m3?

OK so today me and my dad take our cars to get our oil changed at the dealership. Upon pulling up I noticed a gorgeous white m3 in the front. I walked over and one of the salesmen came over and asked if I was ready to trade mine in on it. I looked the car all over and its in pristine condition. No exterior or interior defects at all! The previous owner was a collector and he used this car as his everyday driver. He had just traded it on a gt-r. He had the original sales sticker still on the window, and the passenger and rear seats had dust covers on them. Now I have 17k on the nismo and the m3 has 80k. The offered to do an even trade on the two, am I crazy for even considering this??

yes! kbb for your nismo is close to 30,000 while the m3 is closer to 20,000. On top of that you don't even know how mechanicaly sound the m3 is. FYI parts for the M3 is $$$$$. If you had wanted an older model m3 instead of the nismo you should have bought it from the get go and not trade your "new car" after realizing the highest part of depreciation on it imo.

For real!? Yes you're crazy. That car offers no discernible benefit to you other than a bit more practicality. The car's a ticking time bomb of maintenance issues and bills. Sure, they're gorgeous, but if you're going to buy an M3, you better be passionate about them...it's not something to buy on a whim.

Unless you are mechanically incline. M3 is nice until repair is require.

The most his Nismo is worth realistically is around $25-26K. The moral is, it's not even close to being a fair trade when the Nismo is worth $10K-$12K more than the M3.
