Just an update...I said $%@* it and went ahead and bought the S-tune exhaust. I'll post pictures when it arrives and is on the car.

ha Sure thing man! I know I'll love the sound...I just hope I like the look. Otherwise this will have been a very expensive experiment.

Niiice dude, post good pics for SURE and I'll add them to the Nismo exhaust thread. That is one exhaust that definitely needs to be added to the list!!

Oh, and the Nismo S-Tune is the exact same as the Fujitsubo Legalis-R, in design, with a slightly different muffler and OEM-style tips. I would have done the S-Tune as well, if it weren't for the small tips...the link below shows my OEM-style choice.

I've been eagerly awaiting arrival...I'm hoping to get it this week (aka I BETTER get it this week!!!).

The dealership I ordered from didn't have it in stock, so Nissan NA apparently had to send them one from NY. And I guess they haven't heard of drop shipping, so it had to go to CA before it came to TN.

But yeah, I'll definitely be sure to get pictures up. Your thread was very helpful for me in making my decision. From your pics, I decided that I didn't mind the lower muffler placement. I'm just hoping the tips look good. I would have gone with the Fuji as well, but I wanted more volume. For whatever reason--I know the designs are very similar between the two--the S-tune is a good bit louder.

Also, just as a little FYI...if you ever decide you don't like the look of your muffler, Fujitsubo makes a Legalis R specifically for the Nismo. I found it while snooping through their website.

Who? Yeah, I did not come up with any US resellers, so it probably would not be worth pursuing. Man - makes me wish they slapped that exhaust on our cars before they shipped them over here. It's the same damn thing as stock, with 3in piping.

Totally agree...Nismo deserved something more unique and that exhaust would have been perfect.

Bulletproof Automotive is the company (http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com/), if you decide it's something you want to pursue. They can source just about any JDM part you want.

From what I recall, your standard Legalis R is actually just a little bit louder. Then they also have a Legalis R Type S which sounds more akin to the Nismo S-tune.

Here's all the data for your exhaust (piping size, dyno graph, decibels), in case you're interested.

Yeah, I researched all the specs like crazy before I made the purchase. I wanted something as close to stock-looking as possible. Had I known about the Nismo version AND it was sold in the US (big catch there) I would have gone with that version.

Now go install that Nismo S-Tune and take some awesome pics. Maybe do a writeup like mine if you are intense like that.

I'm also interested to see what the S-Tune looks like on the Nismo. Keep us posted and post pics!

Sooo....it's really IS identical to my Fujitsubo...with different tips. Of course, the muffler is different inside (I think), but otherwise, spot on.

I guess I owe you guys some pics. Sorry...the exhaust was installed on Thursday and then I left town for the weekend. I'm leaving tomorrow for Thanksgiving, so no time for good pictures...but these will hold you over.

The exhaust sounds great paired with my hfc's, although it's not for the faint of heart. As far as looks, I'm so so pleased with it...it's perfect in my opinion. I always felt the stock tips were a bit oversized...I love how the tips are now flush with the bottom of the bumper and angle up in the same fashion. The muffler fills out that open space.

This, IMO, is what the car should have come with.

2 issues I have to address...midpipe hitting the crossmember and the plastic piece on the bumper making contact with the muffler.

I think it looks pretty good. The tips could be a smidge bigger, but I wouldn't bother welding the stock tips on.

Yeah, I agree. They are a little small, but it is so close to perfect that it's not worth messing with. THANKS for the photos! Any chance of a sound clip with your setup?
