Default ...and My Bad Luck Streak Continues!

I don't know what to do other than either laugh or cry.

Today I was driving home on the highway and there was a flash flood. I had to drive my car through what seemed like 2 feet of water. There was no way around it or backing up so I just went for it.

The water probably came up to my license plate on the front, which is how deep it was.

The car seems to be running ok. Everything is stock internally. Is there anything I should be concerned about going through this much water?

As long as the engine didn't ingest water or water got into the cabin you should be fine.

You definitely fared better than I did last year. Lost mine in less water than that.

Advice. There's ALWAYS another way around. You may have to drive a gazillion miles out of the way, but in the end, it would have been worth it in my case. I actually could have parked mine on high ground and walked home.
Check your airbox and filter. Also might not be a bad idea to do an oil change just for the giggles of it.

^There was absolutely no way around. I was on a highway with barriers on each side of me. Trust me, if I had any other choice I would not have gone through it.

Maybe if you'd gone fast enough, you could have skipped it like the Lambo in Cannonball Run!

So I've noticed a major problem since I ran my car through the water.

My horn has turned queer.

What used to be a blairing "Get the **** out of my way" BEEEEEPP

is now a sissy fairy "O excuse me pardon me beep"

I noticed it when I went to lock my car and the beep at lock sounds different. Gonna have to Pray the gay away.
