Acutally, back in '03-'04, many dealers were adding Nismo parts like cold air intakes, wheels, and exhausts. With these parts, they stuck a Nismo decal on the hood and trunk and called them Nismo Z's. While technically, the official Nismo model only came out in 2007 and 2008, lots of people believe they have a Nismo from the early cars because the dealer sold them as Nismo editions. The person might not be as ignorant as some of you think since there could really be some basis in fact for his claims.

 

As mentioned, no R Tune was ever sold. R Tune simply refers to a lineup of aftermarket NISMO parts that could be purchased from the dealer/Nissan. Some dealers may have installed them and sold the car with the mods, but it never came from Nissan that way, at least not in North America.

S Tune GT was a very, very limited (expensive) run of cars sold only in Japan
