Hey everyone there's a guy in my are that's driving what he claims to be a nissmo 350z. We have argued with him about his 03-04 taillights and headlights and body difference. But all he does is make excuses. Now I was wondering if anyone can show me how to identify a true nissmo using the vin number. I believe its the 10-13 digit That's supposed to identify the model. Can anyone help me out? I just want to shut this clown up and prove to him that Just because you slapped on a carbon lip it doesn't make your car a nissmo.

your friend sucks, you should find a different one. the only true Nismo 350z in the US were produced in 07-08 and there is no mistaking it. google it. your friend fails and needs to get a life posing his 350z as a Nismo.

They did make a Nismo R-Tune in 2004 and a Nismo S-Tune GT in 2005. The S-Tune I believe wasn't sold in the US. Maybe that dude has an 04 R-Tune. Either way they were not limited like the 07 & 08 Nismo 350z.

 

Actually those R-tune and S-tune "nismo models" were never sold to the public as a Nismo model. The '07-'08 models are the ONLY Nismo branded models sold to the public.
