It's the GTC 300 supposedly it's the only model for the Z?

Either way removed my wing today in preparation for awesome or complete and utter failure!

Pop trunk and remove the six black tape circles covering (6) 10mm bolts and (2) 10mm nuts!

A whole bottle of this is required! Not even kidding...floss and plastic knife help!

The mess it left?

Authentic Nismo 350Z Z33 V3 Wing Spoiler (<---for engine searches) is 10lbs max my house scale is accurate but by myself wasn't able to hold the wing and take picture!

(3) 10mm each side (6) total...1 Philips head bolt, didn't size it holds the center blade down

Seperated!

For the high rising idea, it's not a smooth/flat surface. So the mount gonna have grooves in it.

Hey so my mind been racing since I removed the wing! Where are all the engineers at? I'm only good at removing things lol.

Couple questions:

So the V2 doesn't have a center stanchion, why doesn't the V3?

Would rising it to the roof line be too much stress on the wing now that it's 4 pieces?

Currently drawing a design for the riser so that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye! Thanks

Doodle!

Sir yes sir it's only 10lbs if you don't believe that then its for a fact less than the 15lbs dumb bell I use in a hand to hand test with. The lower portion is the brunt of the weight, remember it's hollow!

I doubt anyone other than a Nismo or Autech engineer couold answer that. Aero is a tricky business and I'd bet the V3 wing has a lot more wind tunnel testing than the V2. It's all about downforce vs drag, with what you're trying to do it's complete guess work and there's no way to know what the true after effects will be. The V3 could have a center stanchion for a few reasons, one being they knew people would be lifting the hatch byt the upper wing plane.

Thanks for your input!

Great point, I also thought that myself seeing I have lifted it that way . So I want more inputs from the know it alls. That doodle is just design wise in actuality it will only be raise 4 inches. Directly up so that can rule out any guess work? Anything more than four inches and it may become displeasing to the eyes. Also at 4inches it will get the wing out of the rear view mirror!

I was thinking on shipping it to get it professionally made by someone stateside.

It's going no where....went to several shops, they all are too scared of this project. Even after showing my template I made, and visually walking them through what I want.

I have one more shop then it's going back on

Well you don't want to end up with wing fail, there's virtually no way to measure how strong stancions need to be. If you have solid ones made your wing will look much like the Amuse one....and would def be less worry about collapse.

Yup...I seen't that along with other failed wing mounts...I'm looking at ordering the APR riser for $75 and go from there...making it easier for a shop to make a mount to that?

Hard to say if any of those would mount the way you need, can they provide drawings?

That's an overstatement, thanks! It's my pile of poo first car...

The rears are 285/35R19 Falken 452 which where purchased used to see if they fit. They don't lmao. It requires a lot to fit them, they don't rub now. The rear fender well has been cut open and trimmed of anything that would make contact with the wheel in full compression. Even the rear bumper arch has been trimmed and the tabs relocated backwards some. A few members in the fat tire thread are running similar and one member even went to 305 at my ride height which is nuts!

The fronts still rub on turns, I'm in the process of increasing the rear arch of the front fenders. If you can picture that, you'd understand why. The 350Z and even worse 370Z has huge side wall if you would to it's fenders! So at full lock the fist thing the wheel will contact is that lip. Elevation changes do not help this fact, in the drift world this is a easy fix! Enlarging the fender arch so that at full lock the fender isn't a henderance!

I don't drift long exchanges or switch back, but the mountain runs here have huge elevation changes 10-20ft drops on hairpins!

I'm looking at SP1s right now to achieve the offset I have right now without spacers!

Yes when lowered too much!

When I initally lowered my car it was all by eye, after many trips to mexico. I've since then raised my car .5" in the front, and 1" in the rear. Also played with the dampner settings on my Korean coils(Stance). Many will call these coils "crap" yet when used I'd like to say correctly they're alright. Only set back right now that I have was my front tires where Nexxens...very cold/low grip tires...which are great for DD becuase even after all the abuse I put on them. When I dismounted them, the wear was even and still useable tires! CRAZY!

I have new tires in my kitchen next to the rest of my pending car

All this is butt garage talk cause all I have to compare this to is other Z/G/Subaru/Evo/maitia and their drivers. I don't AutoX cause the speed limit on those events to me prove only that the car is nimble tight turn for tight turn. No road course type corners, which I rather.
