I do mostly city driving and it's hard to reach 18 mpg. I'm usually getting 17.5. Any suggestions on how to increase it? And what are you all getting on average?

If you want good MPG sell your Z and get a prius. You drive a sports car, don't worry about mpg, just drive or GTFO

Ok listen up! The men we’re after professional runners. We find them, we take them as a team and we bring em back. And above all else, we don’t ever, ever, let them get into cars.
I'm asking because my friends 03 Z is getting about 19+ with the same variables. If I wanted a Prius or any other car like that I would've bought it..
I take it you have a NISMO 350z as you are posting in the NISMO section of the forum.. Your buddies 03 VQ35DE will "probably" get better mileage than your VQ35HR. You cant compare the two cause they are of a different class. It all depends on how you drive/tire pressure/ which gas you use at different gas stations, some premiums at some gas stations are better than others. Even having the right set of tires can make a slight difference, there's so many variables to MPG including road surface to which way the wind is blowing for christ sakes. Consider getting 17+mpg in the city a plus since my truck barely gets 12-14 city and on a good day 20 highway. The Z is still considered a sports car so it's not going to win any eco friendly awards any time soon.
BTW I have an 03 and I rarely get 19 highway even when babying it, but my Z is my weekend warrior so I just don't give a ****
