Default Show and Go License Plate

I was wondering if any Nismo owners have tried this out on their cars..?

This is such a sweet little set up so I want to know what type of mods needed to make it work or if its worth it.

I actually got the non-motorized one. Its been up there through everything I have put it thru. I dont see any problems with the item it seems to work for me.

Well, unless you cut out the "teeth" in the front lip, the kit won't fit. Actually, the license plate won't fit/slide inside the teeth. It would then need to be mounted beneath the lip, but I would think the Show N Go unit would get beat up down there. Unless there's another way to go about it. I'm working on fabing my own bracket that mounts to the tow hook.

EDIT: dcastillo819, did you install it on the under side of the lip? Nice to hear you got a good placement.

I emailed them a lil while back and they told me they didn't know if it could fit or not. They sent me the instructions, but I didn't feel comfortable cutting the plastic to fit or mounting it so low.

I already did and they said some modification would need to be done, thanks the crazy idea, I guess I'm crazy for thinking of it already!

I just want to see if anyone has actually done it and how they did it.

If I'm thinking about this correctly, the only place beneath the front lip I can see installing it would be in the middle. Otherwise, clearance would be more of an issue. The non-motorized one, I would think, is thinner and may work better than the motorized one. I haven't compared the dimensions. I'm also not aware of any nismo owners installing the motorized one, although if there is a good place to install it, I'm all for this device.

Yeah I installed it on the underside of my lip on the passenger side. I first seen where I wanted to mount it and made 3 marks where the frame has the opening. Then I took off the lower valence which is like a @ss load of 10mm bolts that hold it on. I then drilled the 3 marks out with a drill bit that was just smaller than the opening of the frame. I found some 3 bolts, 6 washers and 3 nuts that would work to clear the sliding frame and I tighten all up. Reinstalled the lower valence and never had a problem. It doesnt really get to beat up unless you will be lowered which I am at stock height and dont have much problems.

Thank god I don't have to have a front plate! Just really looks strange there IMO.

At first it did to me to but it grew on me. The only reason I have one there is because I dont want to drill holes on my front bumper and everytime I went thru Decatur Tx. the State troopers are so bad that they would pull me over for this and find another excuse to write me a ticket. But I dont ride with it up in town just when im planning on going to DFW area.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to put holes in mine either.

I went this route so I didn't have to mess with drilling:

Unfortunately the person who made the kit no longer makes it. Same principle of what I'm currently making. Although I've found it's a PIA to find a bolt with the right threading and length.
