Hey guys, I'm looking at a black 2008 Nismo at a local dealer. Car has 26,000 miles, one owner, and looks great minus a few small nicks and some curb rash on passenger side wheels. Completely stock. I've test driven and it runs and drives like a dream, tires are getting older though. Dealer was asking 26,000 and is willing to come down to 24,900.... Is this a fair deal on a clean one owner Nismo or can I do better? I As it sits price wise, it's halfway between Nada and Edmunds TMV. What do you think?

 

I'd offer 23k, no more if it were me. Even if he says no, walk out - he'll call you back.

I offered 22 and he countered with 24,900. He called me back a few days later and asked if he could do anything else for me. Told him I was still looking. I'll hit him up with 23,000. Thanks guys.

 

He is making money of selling that nismo to you. If he can sell it for 24900, he can probably sell it for 20k and still make some money. Stay firm on the 23k, he'll cave in. I always go into car dealerships with the mentality that car salesmen are weak humans, and that I have the mental edge of them...LOL even if I do or do not.

 

Yeah, i handled the first viewing very well I think. I stayed firm with my price and walked off after his counter offer. I made myself aware of KBB, NADA, and Edmunds TMV before I even went up there. I'm 31 and learned plenty from my car buying mistakes in my 20's. haha. Car has been sitting on lot for a couple months now......

 

^^^Yeah, you probably have a lot more experience than me. I only ever went to the dealership to test drive a 370z and to see how much they would offer for my nismo lol...Good luck man, hope you get one!

For what it's it worth I got my '07 with 13k for 24.5K. Hold firm on the 23k, especially since it's been sitting for months.

 

Hold with that 23k. I got my 08 for 23k in Feb with 32k miles.

 

i was able to walk out the door for 21k for mine 30k miles and a previous owner with a flawless vehicle, keep on trying

 

You could buy my 07 with some choice mods for that much, or get it stock for a good amount less

I checked it out man and that is a sharp car! I'm actually looking for something with a little less miles though. I will keep it in mind!

 

Well the one at the dealer sold..... I also found a great deal on an 08 touring model but it sold out from under me as well!! I had financing ready to go and everything.

There is another bone stock black 08 nismo that surfaced with 27,000 miles that I am looking at. He will take 22,000 for it. Clean car fax. Car is in good shape minus the tires and a few dings here and there.

 

I'd jump on it if that's what you want. Seems like a really good deal
