Question Nismo Owners - Help With Radiator Core Support

So I bought a Nismo radiator core support for my '03 and I'm having difficulty installing it. I've circled the problem area in red. It seems to me, the only way to make this work on my car is to Dremel the protruding lip on the radiator core to allow the bracket to sit flush because the bolts will not reach. I've looked up the part numbers on Courtesy and they use the same core and bolt for all years so I'm wondering if Nismo owners have a different radiator core.

07/08 might be different from 03-06

I know the core support works for 07/08 haven't seen anyone with 03-06 running the core support!

Do you have a picture of the actual fitment issue on your car to give me a better idea?

The car is under a cover at the moment but I will get some pics next time I drive it. Here's a better picture of the "lip" I'm talking about that prevents the brace from sitting flush against the radiator support.

Yes, on the Nismo models that area is grinded down!

I have the same on mine 03 track. I had to dremel that little section and bolt right up. The center section of the nismo brace support bar won't clear ur 03-06 DE hood tho!!! U will only be able to run the sides bars unless u have an 07-08 HR hood or aftermarket hood..hope this info helps..

Crap. Didn't know that. Guess I'll have to buy Stillen then. Did you try any other configurations with the center bar? For example, flipping it upside down.

I think I tried, but the if u look at the ends of the center section will be at a different angle once u install it..I'm running just the two sides bars right now till I get Unlazy and install HR hood. I was thinking of either cutting or push that little section of the DE hood, but gave me a reason to buy an HR hood.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. I'll still Dremel out that section and mess around with it, worse case scenario I sell the brace and buy a Stillen.
