Thanks man, it's been a long four years staying stock. lol Hopefully, the car will be finished this week. I will update and do a nice in car video review etc. Hope your doing well.
Good stuff...I'm fine man..just watching the world turn
Yeah, I hear you. It seems like the same cycle on repeat everyday. Glad your doing well. Atleast most of the drivetrain is finished. I think the only thing I"m missing is the differential. Could only imagine how much quicker the new clutch combo will be.
Update: Clutch/flywheel are still decent. It has a good amount of life left, but since the transmission was already being swapped why not just go the extra way and put a fresh setup on there. I'm pretty sure the stock clutch could have held up just fine.
Update: Well unfortunately, the new setup has been short lived. Something internal must have failed from what it sounds like. It will be taken back to Nissan to figure out the details. Long story short, when I depress the clutch there is this slight clanking sound. Definitely is not pretty. I'm still able to engage all the gears just fine, but again something isn't right.
this is precisely where i say i told you so. Sorry.
" southbend is great, but im looking at a grenaded one in front of me, so Id simply not bet my cash on one".. if i recall the conversation.
Hope its product failure and not just more " hard driving".. whatever that even is.. lol. Good luck.. not hating.. its just tuff love.. sometimes ppl need it.
@Brian, we're thinking it's the throwout bearing in the CSC. I'll find out monday. Either way it is what it is. I should have just gone with an Exedy clutch to be honest. It's weird though since Exedy makes SouthBend the disks and Southbend puts their material on it. I doubt it's the clutch though.
