Hey everyone. Bought a Nismo, having it shipped wont be here for a few days if not a little longer, just depends on the driver. I traded my Evo X for it. Has only 16752 miles on it. Its going to be a little weird going from a AWD Evo with 405 whp to the Nismo but im more than excited. Always been a fan of the Zs specially the 300zx but i just couldnt pass up the opportunity for a well taken care of Nismo with such low miles. I wished i would have saved more pictures of it but i only got one. When it gets in ill definitely throw up more and give the number of it. Any addvice to a new Nismo owner would be greatly appreciated
I discovered that mine were never removed, just found them a few months ago. They'd been on the car for eight years. lol Make sure you keep them! If you don't have your Certificate of Authenticity (COA) send me a PM and I'll get you the POC to have it issued/reissued. Finally, once you're in the Nismo Owners group on FB, one of the other members makes these super neat Nismo Production posters, and a plethora of other Nismo items.
You'll notice some chatter while idling in neutral with the clutch released. It's 100% normal. It will go away (quiet down) once the clutch is pressed in. The tach can be a bit bouncy, between shifts, you'll get used to it.

Exactly why I continue - albeit taking up a lot of server space - to "preach" the gospel that is "driver mods first". Heh heh.
I don't mind being the butt of the driving school "jokes" at all and I don't really care if anyone heeds the advice.... but if one person does and thanks me for it, hey.
To this day, I have a lot of peace of mind having sent my kids to advanced training. They, at least, are two less people I have to worry about getting into trouble on the road.
Especially since one of 'em owns my old Z..... and the other drives one as well.
I registered with the SCCA, and will be signing up for the local weekend AX school if that counts? lol

Anytime one can get a more skilled driver in the car with you to give you pointers and/or give you constructive criticism (and one doesn't take umbrage for said criticism), you're going to walk away with a more acute awareness of what you're doing out on course or on the road.
I'm familiar with the 370 but not as much the 350. For the 370s, Nismos have a different front and rear end (fascia) as well as the suspension/engine differences. Does the 350 and 350 Nismo share the same body or are the body panels/fascia different? Thanks

Nismo 350Z has different front and rear fascias, obviously, and the side skirts and of course, the wing, are also different.
But the body panels are physically/aesthetically the same.
Key difference though, in the construction of the body is the Nismo adds seam welding around various components of the body for rigidity to reduce body flex and a tad bit of additional stability. Air flow over and under the car is considerably improved as a by-product of all of the aero add-ons producing actual downforce as opposed to lift at speed of the non-Nismo models. (And it's done at no expense of aero drag from either the front or rear spoilers.)
In reviewing the Nismo 350, I found real gains in high speed handling, attributed to these improvements over my non-Nismo. You can read the assessment here (if you have a couple of days.... cuz it's me who wrote it. ) TLDR.... TLDR....
