Default FYI on technosquare and Nitrous

I went to Technosquare today and got my reflash done. I ended up having to only get the L Flash that does not include the tuning because part of their setup is to increase the timing.
Since I'm putting on the nitrous kit I would have to get the timing retarded again and so they recomended to just go with the L Flash.
Thought that would be useful info in case any nitrous people are planing on reflashing.

Other than that it contains all the major features (ie limiter moved to 7100)

Default just wondering....

am a Newbie.....

My car is totaly stock,
motor has no internal work done to it,

I want to put a 50 Shot N2O kit in my Z.

Do I need to do the Reflash? the what is it for....
i'm not planning on putting a Twin Turbo....

also, in the other thread, since I don't have a TT,
would a Intercooler help if I was to install
the 50 shot N2O?

I know those are dumb questions but i just want to know.

thanks

you need to do some serious reading on here and all your questions will be answered

You do not need the reflash, the reflash on na add timing and changes some of the fuel maps for better performance in addtion it moves the limiter up from 6600 rpm to 7100 rpm allowing you to shift within the powerband. There are a few more options in there. This is for the full spec, the L spec does not change timimg of fuel maps and so is safe for nitrous

Intercooler will only do anything if you have a turbo or supercharger. Nitrous is very cold and and so eliminates the need for an intercooler.

Do a lot of reading and learn what what is for before you install nitrous or your experience might be a bad one.

good luck

Default Possible Option?

Guys - I have the N/A reflash but since I don't plan on squeezing at every red light , what about using a J&S Safeguard to pull the timing back when the nitrous is in use? It would seem that this would yield the best of both worlds - aggressive N/A performance when off the spray & the capability of automatic timing retard ( via the J&S ) when on it. I bought Gurgen's old Safeguard ( too much piston slap for it to work properly on his latest motor ) & he seems to think it'll be a perfect match to a moderate nitrous system ( 75 hp max ). FWIW - I have the NX Maximizer & one range colder plugs already & we have 93 octane here in Louisiana. Thoughts??

bascially what they told me the big issue is timing. So if you can retard the timing when running nitrous you should be fine. Especially if you're running the maximizer and have the a/f safety activated

This brings up a question I have, The maximizer has a retard function that allows you to retard the timing. Do you need another device in between the Z and the Max or can you hook up that funtion to the Z directly???
Anyone know?
