What are performance shops charging on average for the install of, say a NX efi (20923) kit with the Genx2?

thanks

I would always recommend doing it yourself but in general a nitrous install will take about 6 hours

I was getting quotes from 150 - 400.

I put nitrous in my 69' Chevelle. I feel like doing it myself, but for 250 at a shop you respect and trust is not bad, due to all the bells and gizmos i want.

do it yourself. its not at all complicated. this way you can customize the setup to your specs and you know it will be done right the first time. and if there is something wrong you should be able to locate the problem easily since you installed it all and know where everything is. to top it off, you learn a lot about nitrous systems along the way.

it did take me 3 days to install the basic kit, opener, heater and dual purge. i was taking my time and had to overnight a few extra parts that were needed to complete the install.

but to give you an idea. i was quoted $900 for just the basic kit without all the extra options. those were 900 reasons for me to do it myself. good luck.

$900?!?!? For the kit and install, or just the kit? I just got a quote for $505 for the basic kit shipped from one of the vendors here!

thanks everyone for the responses so far..

peace

Oh Nooooo. I laughed in their faces! Now. With that said, anyone know a good place to have this done? I know a lot of folks tackle this project as a DIY, but it seems a bit daunting! I am pretty mechanically inclined, but WHEW!

read the manuals a few times and you'll find it's very straigh forward. Take your time and you got it
