Well i finally got my car back with my nitrous "completed" and it worked for one shot as i tested it out before i took my car back, and as soon as i left it stopped working. If i return my car to altered it will be the approximately the 6th time ive returned my car with this seemingly simple nitrous install that gets fouled up everytime i hand over my car.
Furthermore they dented my hatch on one of the lifts and have yet to talk to me about how they wanted to deal with it.
The zex system was supposed to be the easiest system to install and thats why i chose it, and yet my zex box has been sent back to Zex 2 times already because it was "faulty" and yet it still dosnt work. Im beggining to believe its not Zex thats been doing the faulty work. I paid over 1000 dollars for this install and its still incomplete. Altered Atmosphere has no idea what is wrong with the system and they probably wont ever be able to properly diagnose what is wrong with it.

always hard to say what it is. Are either solenoid activating?
With nitrous, my rule is to "keep it simple!!!"
Eventhough the Zex is "easy" to install because everything is housed in single unit, it makes it very hard to diagnose a problem. You can't tell if it is a problem with solenoid wiring (+ or -), tps input, bad solder joints, etc.
I guess you are stuck with the Zex now. Has Zex found anything wrong the units that were sent back?
Has altered "bench tested" the unit? Can you hear if the solenoids are clicking? Is there a way to access the solenoids to see if both are operating?
How did they set the TPS input on the Zex? Did they have to manually open the throttle to WOT to achieve the right input voltage for the TPS sensor. IF so, they may have opened the throttle too far.
Our computers only open the throttle 80% at WOT. If they opened it up 100% (90 degrees) to set the voltage, bad plan! That won't ever happen and you nitrous won't spray.
Check some of these things. Find out what they have done to diagnose the situation.
Good luck,
Andrew

his fuel sprays every time, but no nitrous, we disconnected the nitrous line, had him hit WOT when the car was off and held the nitrous line away and nothing came out. i think the zex solenoid for the nitrous isn't opening. everytime he has taken the car to them they are blaming it on the zex box. also, they couldn't even install his msd window switch.
if one is opening but not the other, it must be a Zex box problem. All the solenoid wiring in internal of the box. Externally, you only have a single, power, single, ground, and single TPS wire, and an arming wire...right?
Did the same thing happen with the previous zex boxes that were returned?

altered sent in the zex box and zex said there was nothing wrong with it, and so we got a totally different zex box and the same problem.
I highly doubt all 3 boxes we tried were faulty.

thats a crappy shop, you said a grand to install a Zex kit, lol dude your getting screwed with no vasoline. I know a shop that charges 300 for NOS install, A zex kit is like the easiest one to install, run the hose, tap the fuel line, put in the nozzel, and connect the wiring?
