Ok guys,
I've been doing alot of searching and reading on NX, it seems to be one of the best kits out there.. I have an 06' Touring, I was going to go turbo but it's just not in my reach right now money wise. So I decided to go with the NX Single Fogger Import EFI Nitrous Kit, along with the NX Gen-X 2 Nitrous Accessory Kit.. I also think the Fuel-Line "T" Adapter is a good way to go rather than cutting the fuel line..I'm really new to the whole Nitrous thing so if I'm forgetting anything please let me know, I want to be as safe as possible with this setup. I just bought my car in Nov. it has about 3,500 miles on it, I dont wanna screw the motor up. I was thinking a 50 shot, but someone told me I wouldnt even feel it, they advised me to go with a 100shot instead.. is this safe on a stock clutch? The only mods I will have when this kit goes on are as follows..
MREV and MREVplus
Test pipes
Y-pipe
Pop charger
JIC single exhaust
How much can I expect to pay for installation at a decent shop?
Thanks for your time, I asked alot of questions so I thank you in advance for your patience.
Mike. p.s. I was thinking about going with a 15lb bottle, I heard a bigger bottle has a more stablized pressure..

Expect to pay roughly $200-300 for install. I for one, would not by the gen-x kit unless they have one that comes with the "fire & ice" bottle heater/cooler. Why get the heater when you can have a cooler too. A purge kit is always fun and functional. Usually runs about $100...wouldn't add much to the install cuz all they have to do it wire up on more solynoid and screw on some steel braided line...not much to it.
Read as much as you can about the rules of nitrous. There are quite a few. If you follow them all, your motor will run perfect for a long time. If you don't respect the rules, you will regret it. I believe NX has some tips on their website. Another good place to check out is www.nitrouswarehouse.com .
As for what shot....start off with a 75 shot until you get use to the procedures when spraying and use to the power. You will feel a 50 shot without a doubt....anyone who says so is crazy....who wouldn't feel and extra 50 horse? I hear ppl talking about how they can feel the difference when they put on intake and exhaust, so you will definitely feel a 50 shot. Anyhow, good luck and happy sprayin!!!

the cooler isnt really all the effective. its a lot like a cpu heat sink with fan. only its not in direct contact with the bottle. on hot days your whole car is going to be warm anyways so you can circulate warm air all you like, it wont do too much. waste of money imo.
$200 for the install is very good. i was quoted $900, so i did it myself.

In Houston, we need every bit of help we can get for cooling. Its only mildly cold here maybe 2 months out of the year. Detroit is a different story.

it seems like you bought a lot of stuff and for that much money, i would think u could be done. I was also under the impression that if u bought a NX wet kit, it was pretty much ready to go. Well good luck with the rest of ur install!

You can buy the NX wet kit and slap it on and go. I'm sure he just wants to take all of the precautions before sprayin (i.e. window switch, heater, opener,etc.). I'm the same way. I have everything I need (except my alpine deck) to redo my stereo. 2 amps, components, coaxils, subs, box, screen....but I won't put em in until I have everything.
