Actually they ar enot bad just move some section of harness out of the way on the back ones, just remove a couple of bolts holding the harness bracket.

Try doing it on a 300ZX you have not seen PIA

+1 Did you check your coils to make sure none are blown and everything is connected right?

Have you changed plugs on a Z? If not then you dont know whats up. Im mechanically inclined and my first time along with performing a compression test took me 1 hour. You have to move the engine harness and put your hands in tight spaces to manuver the coil packs out. Its not hard to do you just have to be smart about getting into tight spaces. If I had to do it again I dont think I could do it in 30 min, 45 tops, but def not 30...this isnt a Corrado

yea i did some on a Z, it's definately not the easiest but it's not as difficult as something like a v6 minivan.

corrado's are a PITA to do the plugs. you gotta use a special spark plug wire removal tool to get the plug wires off, and that can be a pain, especially if the wires are stuck, because if you break the tool, you have to remove the intake manifold to get the wires off. (add 40 mins)

then you have to get the spark plug socket down in there and on the plug blind.

it takes around 45 mins to do if everything goes right.

If you are spraying, the 100 octane is not a bad idea depending on your shot size. If you are not spraying, it really isn't necessary at all. The whole idea of using higher octane fuels and colder plugs is to compensate for lack of pulled timing and to reduce severe detonation.
