Default Just finished my Nitrous install!!

Well morning didnt start well. I ordered the Zex kit and accessories and instead they sent me the NX kit with the gen x kit. So I call them and they said they sent that by mistake but they would knock $125 off what I paid so I was cool with that and actually happy that I went with this. Install was pretty easy took me about 5 hours and I routed and concealed everything best I could. I will post pictures friday when I get my camera back.

A friend and I did the install, he is a ford tech for like 15 years and he is awsome with electrical so he did all the electrical and shrink wrapped and soderd everything. Awsome job. I set the window switch top go on at 3300 and off at 6600rpm. Well 1st we went out and ran it without nitrous on my gtech and ran a 13.68@102. Then we tried the nitrous out and I have the 75 hp jets in now. HOLY CRAP this makes a difference it pins you in the seat good now. Had to shut it down after a couple because in 1st gear it just roasted the tires. So we set the window switch for no no2 in 1st and then we ran it again. We ran a 12.52@111. It pulls so hard and pulls strong all the way to rev limiter. This was the best $900 I ever spent!! Gonna try the 100hp jets tonight after dinner and see how that goes, this is addictive!!

Ok the 100 jets are just nuts it just roasts the tires into 3rd gear hard. Its funny we went out after dinner and I thought hey lets see if you can feel the difference so I got in 3rd at like 60 or so and then went full throttle and pulled hard so I then turned the NO2 switch on and the tires actually break loose for a second and it pins you in the seat, NO2 ROCKS!!!

I'm done for a while with it though. I called a guy I know at Sound perfoamnce and they are going to dyno it with a wide band next week friday. He said they'll wide band it and adjust the jets accordingly to get the most power and a safe tune. I dont wanna chance anything so no more Now.

thanks everyone who helped with graet info along the way.

Default Congrats!

Glad to hear everything went well. I've had N20 for well over 3 years now and she's still running strong.

What are you using to control the nitrous though? Is it an MSD window switch, or a Maximizer?

Congrats on the install, any difficulities with something, that you could tell us about?

I bought the 2 in 1 window switch tps switch from dynotunenitrous and it works great. Plus with it I am able to lock out 1st gear so it doesnt spray until 2nd. 1st gear just roasts the tires with the NO2 on. I really didnt have any issues at all, took me a while but I took my time so it looked perfect and concealed. Well worth the effort and the money! Best mod I ever bought!

I should have pictures up friday or saturday soon as I get my camera back. I think it looks nice and you cant see the bottle at all. I removed the spare tire and installed it in the back, I made a brackey to support the floor and carpet so it only sits up about 1 1/2 inches higher that normal but since its black you cant even tell. Put it this way my wife looked in the back an couldnt tell there was anything odd or there. Perfect spot and the blow down tube went right through the factory rubber grommet and drain hole back there. Looks perfect to me and under the hood can hardly see anything at all.

Nice man sounds like a nice install and I like the fact that you dont use it in 1st gear. Now stop using your GTECH and run it at the track

Oh I will run it at the track in a couple weeks. I go to the track like once a month since it is over and hour away. I bought the g tech not for acurate times but to more so guage a mod I did and stuff like that. It could tell me a base run i did 18 seconds and after I did exhaust and intake I did a 17.8 at least I know it made a difference you know what I mean. I will run the drag strip in a few weeks, next week I get it dyno'd and tuned on friday.

Thats awesome. I hear you on the track, as the closest to me is atleast 1.5 to 2 hours away.

Fill us in on those dyno numbers when you get them. Congrats again.

WTF 17/18 seconds as a 1/4 estimate on your GTECH? Either your GTECH is WAAYYYY off or you have 1 arm, no left foot shifting with a knub and cerebal palsy...
