Default Update on my Z

Sup fellas,

Well, as some of you know, I recently put a NX kit on my car along with purge, bottle warmer, and TPS/Window switch. I already had a K&N intake and Greddy EVO2 exhaust.

After gathering up everything I needed to potentially reach my goal of 400lbs of torque and a minimum 11 sec time slips, she is finally going under the knife. As I type she is at SGP having DC Sport headers, AAM plenum spacer, UTEC, and UTEC map selector switch installed and tuned on SGP's dyno. I should have my car back by the end of this week. Mark @ SGP is charging me a grip, but if you wanna play, you gotta pay. No complaints here at all. The guys over at SGP are definately worth every penny.

After talking with Mark, we decided to tune for ALL MOTOR, 75 shot, and 125 shot. The ALL MOTOR map will be copied to the remaining empty map slots. I really wanted to do a 150 shot map, but to keep things reliable, we stuck with a more conservative shot. I will be heading to baytown as soon as possible (if weekend work slows enough) to test the system and learn how to drive the Z with that much instant power on tap. I will be posting dyno charts and eventually time slips. If all goes well, I should be able to hit both of my goals. If I can make it out to baytown this weekend, I'll post a thread in the TEXAS forum to invite any Z's that want to go. I have a couple of friends that might be attending (Viper, Z06, & SC Mustang). Anyone else that want to join in the fun for bragging rights, you're more than welcome. Holla back guys....its time to go FAST!!!

Yea, I'll be running 1 gallon of race gas when I head to the track. As for installing the headers...I just rather SGP do it seeing how everyone has a hard time with headers on the Z. Knowing my luck, I'd strip the threads on the block and that would cost me double the install price to tap it out and re-thread. Besides....the tune is the majority of my $1400 bill. I'm having 3 maps made so that means ALOT of time on the dyno.

1400 is cheap!!!! Ive been quoted a hefty price for just header install. Add in the tuning and spacer install and youve got yourelf a steal.

Just got word from SGP that the headers are defective. The welds are incomplete. DAMN IT!!! Gotta get the receipt from the member I bought them from. He said he'd fax it to me tomorrow. Hopefully we won't have anymore hick-ups. *crosses fingers*. Yea, CU...that isn't too bad. They're good guys over there. Just gotta have the flow to get good work done on the Z. lol

400lbs of torque! Dammit, you're making me wish I'd get my setup in gear.

Can we reach that with a 125 shot?

Dont even waste $$$ on a 75 shot map, you wont even feel it or use it-TRUST me. Do 125 pump, 150 shot on race gas maps, Much better. Good luck with 11's....

Yea, the 75 shot jets are a good A/F....he's just gonna tweak it to get more out of her. I'll use 75 on the street....125 on the track. I want my ride to last to 80k miles before I build her. haha.

I may be interested in heading to Baytown the next time you head out there. Let me know and I will come down from College Station!

Yea, still waiting on DC Sport. Big thanks to SGP (Mark & Shawn) for helping me get them warranteed. Acree...sounds like a plan bro. I've been wanting to check out your LED mods too. Maybe you can hook my car up after we visit the track. Gotta head to Austin to work this weekend...again. Hopefully I'll get the Z back by the end of the week, but it doesn't look like the headers will be here until Friday or so. SGP still needs time to tune, so it might be next week. Can't wait to see the dyno charts!!! Later guys.

Old Skool, I've been meaning to tell you that I've plagiarized your saying a few times here and there. I did not profit as a result of said plagiarism, so I don't think I owe you any royalties. Maybe a few laughs though. Thanks!
