Default Question on blow down tube

I'm putting a blow off cap and a blow down tube on and I was wondering how you guys routed it outside the car? I have a blow down tube but its only about 7" long. Thanks

the bottle is located in my trunk....just behind the passenger seat ... the reason i am asking is because last time i ran my car at the track they wouldnt let me run with the ic sprayer ...i had to take the bottle out of my car ....nhra rules state that it has to be routed outside of the car ....no one has had this problem??

That is a NHRA rule, and they wont let anyone at New England Dragway use nitrous without that either.

Im curious as to how people chose to route their blow down tubes also.

usually i would just drill a hole and aim it out on my cars,

i am sure that you could put a steel braded line that would slip over the blow down tube, i would guess like a -8 line maybe -6 and clamp it on and then run that out as well.

i would ask your tech at your local raceway if that would be sufficient..

You can always have a shop weld another piece of aluminum tubing to the one you have to make it longer.

I've added a steel braided line to the end of the tube. Tied it off and then used that to run outside the car. You should be okay with that as long as the line stays secured to the in the event the pressure seal breaks. To be safe check with the track tech for certain. The events that I have attended have been okay with the setup.

in my old se-r i bought the right side tubing from home depot, and clamped it down to the blow down. then just route it out by the spare tire. there should be a hole there. The techs at my track were cool with it.
