Nitrous Install Questions...
Hey guys just wondering if a 75 shot will be safe on my 05 350Z. So far i have a stillen ground kit, jwt filter, aam spacer, and stillen td exhaust..... I'm wanting that extra kick... especially after a recent race with an LS-1. Damn V8 and their top end..... I had him quarter mile though..... but anyways guys let me know what are some the things that i need to make this a safe install.... such as spark plug setting.... etc.... Thanks..... (flame suit on)
read https://my350z.com/forum/nitrous-oxide/218158-nitrous-basics-thread-read-here-if-you-want-nitrous-for-the-first-time.html. that should answer your questions.
I would NEVER DO a dry kit install, since everything I've ever read or heard advises against it. I have a 100 shot on my Z, had a 125 for about 2 weeks, but took it back off till I get a tune. The 75 shot requires no tuning or timing retard......once you get to 100, you need to look at pulling the timing. Been running nitrous now for about a year with no problems.
Then again, I also have the J&S Safeguard installed to pull timing whenever that's needed. Also read Audible's sticky, very informative. As for the plugs, you should go 1 step colder, and use IRIDIUM, that's the best for a nitrous setup.

i am starting to think that copper plugs work better for nitrous than iridium after pulling some lately. i have never seen a copper one look like a few iridiums i pulled out. dry shots work on cars with fuel pressure regulators in the engine bay.
you have to trick the FPR into opening all the way up so you get more fuel.
please dont blow your car up with cheap nitrous parts....

I read an article about an dry NX setup that used a FPR some time back, but wasn't sure how safe it was, since it's the only time I ever heard of anyone using a dry kit for our cars....would that work for a 125 wet kt, or would a fuel pump still be required?

well the guys that are doing the install are pretty much convinced that a dry zex kit will work if it is directly connected for nitrous.... which from what i understand means no FPR..... but i'm leaning more torwards waiting on the nitrous until i get a wet kit.....
