hey guys i installed my zex nitrous kit. everything was fine but later on through the day my service engine light came on. anyone experience this problem before and know what may have caused it? thanks for your help

 

Depends on what code it threw.. Take it to Checker or Autozone and have it checked..

 

You should get the code pulled to be sure.

But did you get the ZEX WOT (Wide Open Throttle) wire connected properly to the correct TPS wire?
Did you test the N2O to make sure it is only engaging at Wide Open Throttle?
If you didn't get the white WOT wire connected to the correct TPS wire, it will start throwing a code. It doesn't really effect anything, but your ZEX system will not operate properly.

 

yes its that zex wet kit with the WOT wire. its been working fine and still does. i tested it out and everything but as i drove later through the day it threw that light.

 

You need the SES code to diagnose why it threw it.. It throws codes like bank 1 too rich or bank 2 too rich all the time on my FI car.. I wouldnt worry too much..

 

I've been running the ZEX wet kit in my 2006 Z for a couple of months now and have not had a light yet (knock on wood).

It may be coincidence that it threw the light, so you need the code.
You never know, it could just be a loose gas cap.
