Default Compression ratio ideas?

Getting a motor built for my Z specifically to run a 200 shot. What compression ratio should I use? I don't want to lose my N/A power but don't want to blow my motor when I'm running the nitrous. Thanks in advance for any help.

PM Audible Mayhem. He's the guru on here with Noz. He did the sticky at the top of this section. I know someday he's going to run 200 400 shot on a motor one day. Let us know how you make out.

when looking to determine compression ratio decide what fuel you will run and base cr on that.then build the motor to support that nitrous hit.remember unless it's a dedicated drag car you will spend most of your time with the bottle off.

Yeah I'm not going to be constantly on the bottle, but I already have a 75 shot and I use it fairly frequently. The car will be run on pump gas. We'll be using the SSV and tap each runner with a nozzle. Not sure if that affects what you guys would recommend on CR.

if you want to run a 200 shot on 93 I would think 9 to 1 (same as my motor) with a good tuner.

But would it still retain the same N/A power level with the CR that low?

With what mods? Was it a huge drop in comparison to when you had the stock CR pistons in there?

on pump gas you can go up to about 10.25 to 1 cr and still daily drive the car without dialing too much timing out.you will make great power off the bottle and with timing adjustments and a 200 shot you will make crazy power on nitous.again just make sure your bottom end is strong enough to take that hit.

you can setup a 11.7 motor to run on pump gas every day. 93 octane that is.

nitrous loves compression if it is all set up correctly.

we can put you a motor together and get it out to you. we can do it all if you want!!

give us a call or pm me if interested or have any questions..
