Default 63K On the odometer. Nitrous?

Would you put nitrous on an engine that has over 60K on the clock? I really wanted to get a turbo setup but I'm thinking that nitrous might be the way to go considering I dont really have the need for 400+whp in Las Vegas traffic on a consistant basis. I could probbly get a good N20 setup for about 1200 dollars that will be run safely. (Maybe 1800 if I go UTEC). What are everyones thoughts on this?

Iv got my bottle mounted in mine but still working on a day that I can get it installed. Everone I tell Im putting nitrous in give me a dirty look and says your just going to blow your engine up. Im prob. only running a 50 shot to get started. Ithink th VQ should be able to handel that just fine.

If your motor is going to blow up, it won't matter if you have 16k miles or 100k miles.

Not all motors are created equally.

If you have it set up correctly and not too crazy, you will be ok.

get a compression check done....if all cylinders are holding pressure....go for it.

jolt - you won't hardly feel a 50 shot and 75 is still pretty weaksauce....go for 100 shot....huge difference going from 75 to 100. 75 is a safe shot though....A/F ratio is almost right on the money without a tune.

75 shot at 65k is nothing. I've seen a 75 shot on a vq with 250K and ran fine.

nos has a mustang gt test mule with over 100k development miles testing new systems.seems like 100 shot stock block is the safe limit,i would chop timing though.

I ran 100 shot on my last Z with almost 90,000 miles on the clock. It saw almost a bottle a week for almost a year and was fine....until I hit a gaurd rail. That was a stock block, stock ECU and 1 step colder plugs.
