i have been searching to try and find out why my utec wont activate my nitrous set up and have found that version 2.8 will not work the spare solenoid propperly, has anyone found the fix to this yet or is the answer to go back to version 2.6?

 

I think everyone thats using the utec to control the n20 is using the 2.6 version. JT at performance factory would be the one to talk to.

my tuner and i have been off and on the phone all day with turboxs trying to fix the issue and they acted like that no one has this problem and have been trying to fix the issue with no luck. spent a day at the shop with my car hooked to a dyno and left with no juice. that pisses me off when all they had to do is tell my tuner to use version 2.6 and i would be done with the whole issue. it seems that they are aware of the issue since jt @ pf ihas posted he has talked to them about with no solution but using 2.6. instead i have to schedule more shop time to try and fix it and wait another week to see if their purposed fix will work when in my opinion probably wont. after that they want me to try using different parts to fix the prob, acting like my time is worthless to them.

a simple fix is being turned into an elaborate process on my time!

turboxs could have easily offered me the solution of using 2.6 and ask if i would help them solve the issue with 2.8 and i would have gladly done so on their dime. wtf!!

 

Well you hired the tuner so tell them to get the 2.6 version and it should fix your issue. That is, if the rest of the kit is installed correctly

 

Is it activating 1 sel. or is it not activating them at all? If one kicks in and the other doesn't, thats a wiring issue or a sel. issue. Maybe i'm misunderstanding the issue!

 

the utec is not activating the spare solenoid at all, i am only running one to turn on the juice. i have basicly figured out i just need to run the older software and i wil not have any issues.

turboxs has know offered to pay the bill on any further r&d on version 2.8 to get it to work so i will let them use my car as a test mule but will prob just install 2.6 at the end of the day so i can tune my setup and have it working.

I had the same problem. Ver 2.8 will not fire the n20 I had to load ver 2.6 to get it to work.

 

2.8 only works if you are boosted for some reason. lol


load up V2.6 BUT dont use 2.6 if you are boosted.

hopefully the piece turboxs sent up will fix the issue with 2.8 if not ill just be going to 2.6 so i can finally finish this install
