I guess I'll come out and play too..
I think it's time I shared my set up. I didn't want people to know that I have nitrous, but I think people can pretty much assume that I do now anyway by the amount of posts I make in this forum.
I've seen several different nitrous installs by many members on here over the years and got some great ideas from them. I've had this set up for a while now, just never said much about actually having nitrous publicly (and not many know it even locally).
I'll just post some pics up to give you guys a general idea of how mine is set up. Nothing more, nothing less. Keep in mind that it's nothing fancy, but it's mine and I love it.
Without further ado:
I wonder what this could be?
A winter jacket hides my bottle and at the same time keeps the bottle warm and toasty for when I need it. Ghetto, but it works.
Here's an overview shot of my wiring and solenoids.
A close up of the fuel solenoid (note the mounting place).
Hard to see (which is the point anyway), but here are my nitrous and purge solenoid.
This is where the rest of my wiring is hidden - neatly tucked away.
This is where I purge. I like it here because I can confirm that I'm purging. Nothing fancy here.
Can you guess where my switches and gauge are?
I like my set up because it still allows me to use the cubby to actually store things and not just the switches/guage.
Here's where my window switch/tps is located. Nobody ever sees that even though it's in plain sight.
Best of all, my car looks stock (except for the wheels and the air duct). Sleeper FTW?

Exactly. I didn't want anybody to know, so I kept it a secret for a long *** time from most of the people (local and online) up until recently. Like I said, "I guess I'll come out and play too" now..
I don't ever recall seeing you at the drag strip and I practically lived there up until this year. Unless you're a good driver who can pull off low-mid 13s N/A, you shouldn't even be thinking about nitrous. And from my experience, nobody has obtained even a mid 13 sec timeslip with or without drag radials/slicks around DFW, so I don't know anybody else that I see as "qualified" to have a power adder.
Learn how to handle your car (its power) and to drive better before you up the power level significantly (goes for any motorsport). It's stupid and pointless to add more power when the driver sucks *** - it will only make you look like a ricer.
And of course the 13.2 is without nitrous. If all I can do is 13.2 with nitrous, I'd kill myself (although it's not TOO bad in this dead heat/humidity). With nitrous, I've done better. I just don't like the fact that I no longer have slicks, the weather is hot and humid as hell, etc, so my times aren't anything worth mentioning, imho. So, I'd rather not say until I achieve the time I want. Fair?

Coach, I say that all the time.
quakerroatmeal, I think you mean "future?" My point was, what good is the extra power, if you can't control it? I guess spraying on the highway is fun and all, but it wouldn't satisfy me personally, knowing that the highway is the only place I could spray without embarassing myself (not saying you suck). And yes, we should definitely go to the track sometime. I'm going to try to set up a drag race day toward the end of the year, pending interest (yeah, right.. DFW interested in a drag race day? I went alone for 2+ years). Once you've thought about this more, feel free to ask me some questions. As long as they're reasonable, I'll help you out.
ny300z, well I'm not exactly proud of my ET. The temp was in the 80s, humidity in the 70s-80s, pressure around high 29s, track prep wasn't great due to not many racers (and it was test and tune).. the DA was over 2500'. I know I could've done better even with those sh1tty variables.
Ruthless18x, then I did well.
frankie945, thank you.
C5_vette, the trap I can share - 108.82mph was the highest of the night. For comparison, I was trapping just under 100mph N/A that night. My car usually traps 103+mph on good days. I haven't seen my car trap under 100mph in a long *** time, I knew the DA had to be sh1tty (I recall it was over 2500'). This was on Dynotune's "75 shot," which apparently is equivalent to NX's "50 shot." I guess it wasn't a true 75 shot, which could technically mean I did pretty well for a small shot.

wow, i read that first post wondering how you managed to run 13.5 on nitrous, would have needed about a 2.6 60' LOL. looks like a fun setup, i like the idea of not pushing nitrous too far, a 75 shot (50 equivalent like you say) is just about right in my eyes.

Great setup! Stealth is the way to go!
Why did you put the window switch near your intake? I guess you don't change that to often?
As for dynotune, they rate theirs at the crank, on ls1tech, they stated that it is not whp that they rate their jets at.
So the people running 100 shot pills, would it be safe to assume that the majority are actually getting 75hp to the wheels and when they say that 75 shot is safe, that is actually 50 shot? I am probably going to run a 75 shot or 100 shot until i actually get conformation that it is safe to run a 125 shot from dynotune, which in reality would only be around 100 to the wheels, what do you guys think?

ny300z, thanks man.
Hoooper, like I said, if all I could muster was a **** poor 13.5 on nitrous, I'd definitely end my life right now. Yeah, I'm very big on taking one step at a time. I pretty much maxed out my N/A set up (without spending too much money) with the 13.212, where I only had very few but well chosen mods (I still have the same mods). I want to achieve the best ET possible on this so-called 75 shot (or 50 in reality) before I step it up. But, I'm also impatient, so we'll see how that goes. Good thing my bottle's empty.
3kgtslflip, I didn't want the tps/window switch inside the cabin because I know that once I set it, there was no need to mess with it again. Plus, I want the cubby space to actually hold something and be useful. And if Dynotune themselves confirmed that their shots are at the crank, then I guess it's at the crank. So I'm actually spraying a 50 shot. Even better. My ET and trap is pretty respectable then - awesome.
When people say 75 shot is safe, they mean the 75whp shot is safe. I wouldn't go higher than 75whp, though. You can never be too careful with forced induction, I always say. 100whp is pushing the limits and playing too close to the fire (without at least pulling timing). I'd stay with Dynotune's "100 shot" or 75whp shot.

although i would suggest staying 100 shot max, there was a guy (jime) who ran a 200 shot on a 3.5 for an entire bracket season and the engine survived no problem. he was running a maximizer, 2-step colder plugs and 114 too

meh, with a maximizer and 114 thats not really that bad. similar to running a stock motor on boost at ~450hp, with 114 its really not that crazy. personally, theres no chance id do that though
