Do a dry setup it removes quicker for dealer visits...I have a NOS brand dry shot with a .46 jet (thats the max you can go without adding fuel) and run a 12.8 @ 108 on drag radials... I will put up pics soon if you want...The system consist of a nos selinoid, relay, foot switch, air fuel gauge, arming switch and nozzle..come out in about 35 minutes...very simple, very safe and very effective...

I have heard that dry nitrous is the way to go. I emailed ZEX, and they told me that the 350Z could only run on wet nitrous? I would like to go with the Dry set up, and easy removal for dealer visits is a plus.

It would be great if you could take some pics of your set up so that I can have a better idea of how to do the installation.

pic#5 selenoids..the one with the white line is for purging the system...if you go wet you will also have 2 but one taps off your fuel line(which is a ***** to hide for dealer visits)

Sweet! Thanks for all the pics! I have never installed nitrous before, but am very familiar how to do it. I have been reading some books on nitrous, and know the basics, but these pics really help a lot! The only problem I had was where to decide to put everything.

One more question, which is better, wet nitrous or dry. From what I have read, it seems like dry is the safest, but wet can offer more power. I am about to get a nitrous kit, and will never need anything over a 100 shot (most likely I will stick with a 75 shot). I have read the the Zex kits are the easiest to install, but have heard too many stories of thier products not working right. Anyone have any opinions on who sells the best nitrous products?

How is a dry system safer than a wet? It is like adding a supercharger without playing with the fuel. I have heard our cars run rick but you are playing on the edge with a dry kit. On the other hand a wet kit adds nitrous and fuel. Making the wet kit safer. Less chance of detonation. The oly problem I have seen with wet kits is puddling. It is your call I guess I have a Zex Wet kit sitting in my garage waiting to install. I think it is a cool system. Much better idea than a micro switch. I guess to each their own. I like the Zex kit. The next guy like NOS or NX. Good luck !!!

I like zex as well. They don't have the best support from what I have read from McDan and MaxHax, but in the end I believe they were happy with their system as well as me. You definitely need to go with the wet system. One recommendation I highly give you is get a dyno after you install asap! I ran a dyno yesterday with my nitrous and found that I was VERY DANGEROSLY LEAN! I am lucky I didn't blow my motor. I had 52/26 (125hp) jets that were recommended to me by Zex even. Get a dyno! Best of luck!

I have a safty question for those of you that use the NOS version. Or any N20 kit that uses a switch by your foot on the gas pedal.

Since the TB blade is computer controled. What happens when the car goes into power reduction mode one time, and slams the Blade shut, while your foot is down.

Is there a safty switch to shut the system off? Since your foot would still be down, even though the computer has shut the TB. The Intake tube would be filled full of N20 almost instantly.

I was just wondering, since if there isn't that safty switch it could spell. B_A_C_K_F_I_R_E !

I was just wondering....

Thanks for any advice.

There is no safety switch that comes with the zex kit. However I have just purchased a MSD Window switch that turns the zex control unit on and off at whatever rpm I choose. I am going to program the switch to quit spraying at 6200 rpm that way if I do forget the vdc off for example I won't have the chance to B_A_C_K_F_I_R_E! Good question though!

Edretti, I noticed you said you were running 52/26. I know that is what max was running. you said you got a dyno and you were running really lean. What jests are you running now.
