NANO 4500 psi Kit

Well, according to members of ls1tech, you use a lot more than before, almost the whole bottle. I can't give exact numbers, like "I can use my 100 shot x amount of times more" than before, there are some threads like that, but I have to find it. I won't be able to give subjective feedback either, since I only used my nitrous once before I got my nano kit.
Apparently, the psi gauge on the nano is a good indicator of the contents of the nitrous bottle. As it goes down near to zero, your bottle is almost empty.
Hopefully i finish up my Z so I can run her in the spring/summer, lol.

You can use something like that, but it is very dangerous. These kits are very specific, they have calculated what size hpa bottle, and what regulator at whatever speed will work to maintain 950 psi for that specific sized bottle. So you can use one, but who knows what your psi might be, or what regulator you need. There have been people on ls1 tech who have done that, but because of the reasons I stated, they have never been properly regulated because of the dangers, until NANO came out.

Without the NANO, you can tell that you need a refill because you can't get your pressures up high enough, right?
With this system, how do you know how much N20 you have left in the tank since the NANO is also filling the tank with Nitrogen? Do you have to keep up with how many times you've used the bottle and for how long to have an idea of how much you have left?

You can read the gauge on the NANO, i forget what psi was empty, but basically the gauge on the NANO bottle goes down with the amount of nitrous you have left. So n20 psi will always be the same for the most part, but the NANO psi will be going down.
