Default Nitrous with Fully Built NA Rev-up Motor

Hey! Looking to get into the nitrous game w/ my new setup. NA build not getting me to the number I want, so I'm going on the juice. The build itself seems strong enough to handle a larger shot, but I think with the increased compression (11.5 to 1), I should be more efficient. Thinking about a 75 or 100 shot.

I'm thinking about the Dynotune Nitrous kit for 03-06 350Zs. Looking into a proper engine data monitoring system (microedge, gauges, etc.).

I'm reading up, but just wanted to introduce my build to the nitrous crowd for discussion!

150 shot would be very good for this set-up...it looks to be a strong build and can definitely handle a 150 shot. Direct port fogger with direct port meth/water injection

now go do it, post numbers and details

With such a high compression ratio, you might be limited on pump gas. You may not be able to spray 150 shots on pump gas.

Id say a 150 + shot will do the trick...

however, if your gonna spray it Id say ditch the iridium plugs for a set of copper plugs

also, Id say dont get the zex kit, just get dynotunes and get a progressive controller...who cares if you have o rebuild solenoids after a while from it...thats easy

Yeah my logic is that I have enough power NA and can activate the additional stress (albeit not so significant considering the build, shot, etc), rather than having to stay out of boost all the time if I want to keep the engine wear to a minimum. Not only that, but with less parts, seals, etc., maintenance should be less and that equals more enjoyment with my car.

why do you suggest copper over iridium plugs?

+1 I've never read in any FI build where copper is chosen over iridum tipped colder plugs...

actually, in reading some more, copper seems to be preferred in most FI applications.

there is a greater chance of burning/melting/breaking the tip of an iridium plug under high cylinder pressures (high boost,Big shot)

-Iridium-

-Copper-

And with copper you can adjust your spark plug gap...if you try to gap iridium plugs, you will most likely damage them

Well, I guess I haven't been paying attention... I feel like I'm ok, considering I'm fully built NA and won't be going with a crazy huge shot.

The microedge is one of the best controllers you can get. Incredible for the price. Use stage 1 to activate meth and stage 2 for nitrous. It can do so much, if you want more info, let me know. Go for meth also, if you are interested, I can get a discount from a supplier.
