Default Nitrous questions

Hey guys I am looking into nitrous currently. I have read up about what most people use on here and it seems like the wet shot is the preferred method. Is there a reason for this? Do the kits require you to use the schrader valve to get fuel? someone told me this is how they get the fuel for the line.

What is the main reason that people dont run a dry kit? Is it because you are not mixing the fuel with the shot?

If you only ran a small (75) shot, and tuned for a/f and plugs, would it make a difference if it was wet or dry? I understand the concept of nitrous just had these few questions. If there is a reason not to use a dry kit other than that I would love to hear it! thanks

First Wet kits are generally safer, if the correct fuel jets are used. I have seen cars use a 100shot dry. But, they run rich (lots of fuel) for this reason. I like to run fuel and nitrous as the gain is higher and its only an additional solinoid tapped into the fuel line before the FPR. Most nitous manufacturers have install insturctions on their websites. I hope this helps.

Wet kit makes tuning so much easier, and allows you to 'tune' the nitrous AFR separately from the base tune.

Imo if you're going wet pick up a fuel rail/line adaptor to simplify the install. I dunno if anyone else carries it, but Dynotune is the cheapest of anyone I've found and actually sells a 350 single and dual intake wet kit with this adaptor.

Keep in mind you posted this in the 350z Nitrous section.

So you dont use the schrader valve you use the fuel rail/line adapter? When I ran nitrous in my old f body people used dry shots and just tapped the fuel from the schrader valve making one of the pistons really lean out bc it was stealing the injectors fuel. Im assuming this isnt the case on the dynotune set up? Thanks for the relplies! I will be doing this on a 370, so I want to make sure I do it as safe as possible.

There isn't a test port on the rail on the Z's. My old Cobalt and my dad's 4.8L vortec both have one and I used that as the fuel pickup with on problems.
