Default Nitrous carnage

I have had the chance to rebuild a few blown motors from turbo/sc Z/G's over the last few years. This is the first one that’s blown from nitrous. After getting 35psi in #6 and 80 after the oil trick i knew it had to be broken ring land. Anyway i pulled the motor out and ripped the head off and this is what i found.

This happened while using a 75shot zex kit. The #2 piston also had pieces of the lower ring land broken off but compression was around 10psi. I’m doing a full forged block, and hopefully convince the owner to get a WB AF gauge and something to tune the car with. Ill add more pictures as I go should have in done in just over a week.

Wow man. Were they using a RPM window switch when that happened?

Most ZEX systems operate off of TPS voltage. They have an arm / disarm switch and then fire automatically at a certain voltage.

Could that be from hitting the rev limiter while spraying without a window switch?

I know I had a Zex system. Zex also makes and recommends a rpm window switch.

Ouch! Were you running a progressive controller or no? Is it a direct-port or single-port set up?

Looks like my old 96 Neon. I was running a 75 shot, dry, with an on/off switch. It got stuck on after a run. LOL. To be 20 again.
