Default RPM signal wire on HR??

I have an MSD 8969 window switch for my 08 G35 HR. I cant seem to get a straight on answer on this but how do i go about getting a signal for my rpms? Yes...ive searched...believe me lol. Coil pack? Fuel injector? ECU?...Im lost as to what is an actual proven method that people have done successfully with this

The Tach signal is transmitted through a CAN line to the cluster. you cant tap into it.

You best option is to buy a signal convertor

Hook it up to a spark signal, calibrate, and it will output the signal that you need.

I wound up tapping into the #1 cylinder fuel injector and it worked like a charm.

I would reccomend switching to #1 coilpack instead.
