Default List Your exact Setup and for How long

I'd like to start a list of everyones setup and how long they have had Nitrous on their car. This has been done on a number of other boards and tends to be a very good source of info for those looking into a good setup.

Please list:

Nitrous Kit and Shot
Any Timing controls/Plugs
All other mods
Length of Time running Nitrous

Any Dynos or 1/4 - 1/8th mile times also.

I'd like to hear from all the Nitrous users- good or bad. If you blew or damaged the engine it can be very helpful to post your setup when the damage occured.
Hopefully this can become a sticky over time..

See sig.

I also just got this
http://www.speedshop.org/store/scrip...p?idproduct=88

I have only had it installed for about 3 weeks and have just gone through my first bottle (mostly just from purging...I get a kick out of it) and it made a legit 7 or 8 car difference through 4th gear with the 100 shot.

Because I have to steps colder, I am going to either go with a 125 or 150 shot. I plan on getting an air/fuel ratio gauge, electronic nitrous gauge, and perhaps something to retard my timing in the future. Any suggestions?

Oh yah, I am having a custom enclosure being built from my stereo guy to pretty thngs up a little bit as well.

With a zex 75 shot wet system do you have to retard your timming at all??? And if so how do you do that? Also what kind of plugs do you recomend?

You shouldn't have to retard with only a 75 shot. It seems that is on the low end. I'd go with one step colder Denso Plugs. That should be good if you decide to step up to a 100 shot in the future.

NX Wet Kit 75 shot (41/24)
NX Bottle Opener
Zex Heater (P.O.S.)
Zex Gauge
Zex Purge
NGK 1 step colder plugs

I've had the system for about 3 months. No serious problems. Been hella lagging on the dyno, haven't had the time or funds. Pretty happy with the power but I'm thinking about going to a 100 shot and stopping there. I want to dyno what I have first and see how I'm doing. I also want to clear up some jet size confusion with NX first.

Nice setup cyber... The gymbag in the trunk is always funny to me.

So far the longest anyone has been running a setup is 3 months.. I'd like to hear about a longer timeframe.. Also nobody has gone to the track yet?

I tried to go to the track with my setup but they won't ket me run it. First of all they told me that 1, i would need a blowdown tube which i have but i never installed. And 2, they told me that there has to be some type of barrier between you and the bottle. So there would have to be some time of like divider that divides the hatch and the seats, and it would have to be completely sealed off. This is what they told me when i went to Moroso, the track we have here close to Miami. Before the let you run the car some guy comes and looks at your engine and all around inside your car to make sure you dont have anything illegal. I am dying to run it at the track but i am not about to go rig some divider on my beloved Z. Guess the street races will have to do.

Hey dude, by the way is your bottle inside that Gym Bag??? Or is it in the spare tire hole. That bag thing is a good idea.

You have to have one or the other not both.

If its in the trunk and its separated from the interior like a standard car then you don't need the blowdown tube.

Lots of racers have the bottle in the front seat, but a blowdown tube is required as per NHRA rules.

G35 Sedan 6mt/ black on black

150-shot (73N/44F) Zex, NX Hybrid
Dynotune Digital A/F Guage
Dynotune pressure-based bottle warmer
Dynotune Digital Nitrous pressure guage
NX Maximizer Digital Progressive Nitrous Controller (not sure if I believe this is a quality made product yet)
Z-tube
Amsoil Synth Oil
Amsoil Air/Filter
Zex remote bottle opener
Goodyear GS-D3 tires
Kinetix test pipes
SPX-Kentmore Adapter
Denso Iridium 1 Step Colder Plugs
MSD Window Switch pn 8969 (the digital one)
stock clutch
no timing retard
93 - 95 octane gas

Running for about a year (not in the same config it is now, for most of the time I have been running 125 to 150 shot on the standard Zex kit. The Maximizer and hybrid kit is only a couple of months old and it allows me to burst/build up to 175-shot.

I have run the crap out of the engine and spray up to several bottles a month. No issues as of yet. Plugs look great, A/F looks good. However, I am in the process of selling all my stuff to fund another project.

No dyno's, but do have several slips, but I can't seem to get even close to what the guy with the Maxima is running. I guess its his drag radials. His **** flys.

Dang, that sucks man. The dealer honored the warranty? Or did NOS help you out? Was the solenoid an old one? There's gotta be some way to test out the solenoids regularly.
