Default Compression and No2

I was wondering if the 11.5-1 compression Forged Pistons and No2 would be a bad Idea?????

My ideal thing would be have the high compression with cam work for maximum N/A preformance daily...... but still be able to run a 75-100 shot for track use???????

This route is cheaper than a turbo and hopefully will provide a better engine life.......

It's never a good idea to combine high compression with a form of forced Induction. You are going to have to pick one route or the other. If you want to stay N/A go with Cams/Pistons/Headwork. If you want Forced induction such as Nitrous just go with Bolt-ons/Nitrous, you could also add cams to this setup.

depends what sacrifices you can make as far as octane of the fuel u run and how long you want the motor to last.

I was lookin at the AEBS stroker kit that has to choices an 11.0 and 11.5 I am leaning to the 11.0 I can run the allmotor and then if I "take it to the track" all I have to do is run it to 1/4 tank and drop in some octane booster with mmt and im good to go for a 125-150 shot....A lot of the LS-1 guys running nitrous are at an 11.0 or higher so its not the compresion but the fuel that your burnin when you hit that **** that is going to make the biggest difference. PING IS BAD

Later,
Scott

We are thinging alike. I am also thinking about doing this I am looking at fully built motors and I am really considering going this route I figure if I can get to 330 to the wheels on motor which I believe is achievable then throw a 150 -200 shot on there it should be fine. With good rods and good enternals I just can't see why the motor couldnt handle that kind of hp. As long as you have the proper air to fuel ratio it should be fine.
