if olivia agrees that most of the cars did not belong in the show, then i will assume this is about our attitude towards cars we may find inferior.
i dont think anyone was intentionally hating on anyone's car. a few people pointed out that they were inexpensive because price has a reflection on availability and how common they are (both attributes looked down upon for shows). also, some mods were not unique enough nor had the wow factor to be deemed show worthy. it is not that we find ourselves superior to them so were going to make fun of them, we just didnt think they belonged in the show and everyone agrees on that. im assuming none of us entered the show because no one thought their car was worthy, and it probably just caught trent's eyes that less worthy cars, in his opinion, were in the show.
i wouldnt make fun of a bum on the street, but if he entered a best outfit contest, i would have to chime in. not saying scions are the bums of the car society, but im using an extreme to illustrate a point.
