Anyone around here known for doing wheels? I just wish I could see some powdercoated wheels before I did it. Id just hate to pay all this money for wheels and then more to change the color and it come out bad or look cheap.
Are there any places around here that do a lot of wheel work?

Are ya'll thinking about the problems with the Nissan OEM wheels that have been rechromed? Rechroming involves heat and chemicals that are responsible for micro-cracks and eventual failure.
Powercoating is relatively harmless. You want somebody to soda blast them rather than sand blasting - not as abrasive and you don't risk tempering the wheel by burning the old paint off with heat. The only thing you have to watch is how the new powercoat is baked on. You want somebody who has experience with wheels, as they require more careful handling than brake calipers or a frame/chassis for example.

I don't know anyone who has rechromed the chrome wheels
Yah well obviously if you heat it up to quickly or cool it to quickly it will warp and screw up the stucture of the metal. I think if a person has done a good bit of wheels before they should know what they are doing. The works arn't cast tho they are forged correct? That should help some eh? Im just worried about appearence. I will choose someone who won't mess the wheels up, but has anyone seen powdercoated rims in person? Do they look good or can you tell they were powdercoated?

I ask because I really think I am going to call Logan at ASPEC and tell him to send me the Gunmetal CR Kais and get them powdercoated gold. Any thoughts or ideas?
