usually, the only times hurricanes hit houston is when it passes over the yucatan peninsula. No free day of work for me.........

Still kind of early to tell. I don't think these things ever follow the exact projected path.

I usually believe that but Gustav sure stuck to the script for the final week or so.

My parents are about to move into their $400K home in Aransas Pass, Tx (located 5 miles from the beach),
and now have to wait and see what this bad boy does!
Anyway they are evacutaing and staying up here until the storm comes thru!

I thought it jogged west a little more than expected. I know initially they were saying that it was going to hit at the mouth of the Mississippi. Where ever it lands, I wish you well, and hope it doesn't cause too many losses.

BTW....the national hurricane center finds the GFDL models are usually the most acurrate
