Looks like we're on for Saturday. My a$$ doesn't get out of bed until at least 9 or 9:30, so we should plan on starting around 10am.

Shifty, we can throw your exhaust on and throw the utec in, no problem. I think I have to change the oil on my Z too.

Jeff, make sure you read up on spring removal/installation. Go here: http://www.cfzclub.com/TechTips.html
and look at the suspension chapters. See if you can borrow a spring compressor from AutoZone/Murrays/Pep Boys/Napa/Advance etc. It looks like the front springs might be trouble unless we have one.

Everyone is welcome. If you need directions, ask me or AJ or Shifty or Jeff...

Nice meeting you H8bumps. If I can have a little bit of a notice maybe we can use the garage next time.

Jeff - Did you have to get an alignment? I will have to go for a spin.

Mike - Hope you can get the loudest 350z ever tunned soon, I like to see how it impacts your times at the strip.

Wow, guys....

Remember that shoulder injury I was telling you about... lol the thing is killing me this morning.

How difficult were the rear springs?

also,m y exhaust is louder now, I have no idea why. I wonder if it has to do with using gasket maker instead of real gaskets. I was thinking that maybe the gaskets were also absorbing some vibration and keeping the exhaust quieter.

Thanks for the help on the springs everyone. On the test drive and drive home everything seems good... no unusual sounds. I owe you all quite a bit of beer.

From everything I've read people suggest waiting about 2 weeks before getting an alignment just to let the springs settle. So I haven't got one yet... but will have it checked in a couple weeks. For now the car's alignment seems good.

The rear springs were no problem, me and H8bumps knocked those out pretty quickly. Toughest part of the rear was aligning everything up to bolt it back together.

Again thanks to all for struggling with the damn spring compressors!!!

Billy, can't wait to see your car... that thing has got to haul as$.

Jeff,
Glad you got those taken care of man. Those compressors were a $itch
I hated to jump out like that, but I had to go.
Does the car look any different?

Mike-I bet it isn't louder you just got used to the stock exhaust back on...
Get that Crank Pulley from Billy and we can try to get that on soon as well...

Jonny - nice meeting you too. Yeah, a lift and air tools would make it a little easier to swap out exhaust/test pipes.

Shifty - rear springs were easy. 2 bolts and they're out. Next time we meet up I'll bring the UTEC stuff. I have your AFR and timing maps, so while I'm bored this week I'll create a map or two. Then we can load them into the UTEC and start tuning.

The back looks much lower and the front looks a little lower. As I figured my low profile ramps won't work anymore. Looks good though!

Actually I've already gotten two compliments from strangers after Saturday afternoon. Got complimented on the car Saturday night at a gas station.... and then also on Sunday when we went to Stoney Creek. At Stoney Creek when we came back to the car we saw a guy circling it on a bike checking it out. After he circled about 3 times we made our way to the car and he said that it was sweet and he doesn't see any of these around, then he rode off.....

Guess it's the springs
