Like John said I'm down for a meet but maybe it'll have to wait for a couple weeks. Hell we're supposed to get about 3 inches of snow tomorrow.... when will it end!!!

+1 on the mod bug.... last winter I bought a handful of stuff, but this winter I've gotten nothing. I need to make some purchases so we can have more install days.

I gotta question, how hard is it to install a Boost gauge on a turbo'd car? I'm not talkin Z but I was wondering if you guys locally had any experience with doing it. It's probably a stupid question, but I had to ask.

f-ing snow. Oh well, I got over 200miles of driving in this week It was worth it .

I'm trying to budget for a new set of wheels, tires AND track tires. I can hear the suction sound and feel the tugging of the mod bug ripping at my saving account.

I'm not spilling the beans until I make a decision-

I'll meet up anytime - MINUS snow.

ey guys, so this is what it's come down to. I've been talking with this guy for a while that's selling his 05' enthusiast black. It's only got 8k miles on it, and if I can get close to kbb value then I'll probably be purchasing it. He's asking 23k, but I'm gonna try to get it for a bit less. What do you think it's worth? It's really clean, low miles, has ASA wheels and aftermarket spoiler.

Only thing is that I have to drive a 350z first. If I like it, then I'll be getting this one. So if I can get a ride with anybody sometime in the near future please let me know. I feel weird goin to a dealer and driving one....

It's probably weird that I'm thinking about purchasing a car that I've never even driven haha, but I think I've done enough research online And I'm weird like that

Thanks guys.

Wow so this is going to sound funny...

If you had a choice, would you pick white or red as a new car color? I know AJ already is going to say white because of his PPW 350z. Post up your thoughts and opinions. I say white but I can't help but like the red. Such a bold color!

Mike - White. just my preference over red..

Azn - why can't you test drive the car you want to (possibly) buy? What's weird about trying something out before you spend $20k+ on it?

The car is actually in Maryland. I plan on flying out and driving it back if I decide to get it.

I would be more than willing but it will be in storage for the next couple of weeks. Only a few people have them out so far. I would be more than willing if you could wait a few more weeks. If you get it in time maybe you can make it out to the Drag strip meet I have set up. A lot of us guys are going. Good luck with you choice.

Mike - the color for me will depend on the vehicle. So what vehicle are you looking at in those colors.

Steve - what kinda wheels are ya getting.

keeping the wheels a surprise. I will say that I went over budget, there aren't JIC Magic, and they aren't Volks. But they are f-ing sweet.

Azn - Ahh. That makes sense then. This week is bad for me, plus the weather looks awful. I could really use the extra miles on my oil consumption test too.

08 Mazdaspeed. They just introduced white this year to the MS3.

There's the car I ordered, and theres the red one just above it if I decide to change my mind.

Good purchase Mike!
Those are really fun to drive, and they make great power with just breather mods on it. Good luck with traction though...that will be your main limiting factor. My vote of course is for white.

Steve, you bought the wheels! Awesome!

Azn, give me a call if you want to come to novi and drive mine. Though it is not stock now, but it will at least give you an idea....I also have an HR so I will have a wee bit more power then the one your lookin at.

Mike - I have to agree you should definatly go with WHITE!!! I think it looks much nicer. If you get it in time maybe you can come out to Milan this year.

Billy - Your signiature seemed to get a lot larger.

Thanks guys!! Yeah traction will be interesting. Surprisingly small tires too (215/45/18) but Mazda knew what they were doing, as it handles quite impressive.

As far as traction+FWD+Boost goes, Mazda did everything they could to limit the problem. Boost is limited in 1st and 2nd gear, plus they included a LSD. And if your steering wheel is pointed in any direction other than straight, plus sensors for YAW, then the engine restricts power. So you maintain as much usable power as you can. Also, they restrict the throttle plate 30% after 5500 rpms to avoid possible engine damage near redline. So safe shifting and safer engine. Full torque and hp is available at 3000 rpms. Top speed is 155 mph although Automobile mag tested 162mph on the Autobahn. And after everything is said and done, I still get 18city/26hwy mpg out of 14.5 gallons! So far, I can't complain other than it's surprising how much I got used to a bigger vehicle, but i've always wanted smaller so I have it now.

Car is a blast to drive and I get to maintain some form of practicality for family and personal reasons.

Can't wait to come out with you guys this year!!!

So Mazdaspeed discontinued sales of the CAI. Something to do with having the engine run too rich and whatnot. I think they had a few hydrolocks happen too.

I don't even have the car yet (hasn't been signed for yet) and i'm already shoppin for goodies:

Winter Wheel/Tire setup (16" with either Blizzak or Wintersports, never had dunlop before)
Winter Floor mats
Apexi Pen Style turbo timer
Cobb SRI
Tint of course, 35%
Hardwiring my radar

Summer is going to be great!

Mike, there is a guy on here I will try to get you his info.
He has had one for a while and has made AWESOME power out of bolt ons.

I drove one about a year ago, and man it was fun to drive. Shut off the Traction control though and the car is EVERYWHERE....
Much better on fuel for you too!!! also back in a stick car!

You will take me on the highway with a mod or two
Did you buy it???
or lease it?
