Metro Detroit roads can be fun as the potholes can provide a simulated slalom course while cruising down the highway.

I was so happy I was able to take my Z out last month on that really warm Monday we had...

Try driving a cavalier with a dead stereo. I need to move south.

I took my z out on the same day. I only did it because I had to move from one garage to another and the fact that it had rained 2 days beforehand made it ok for me to take it on the road :-)

I'm driving a 92 Acura Integra w/ a crappy stereo if it makes you feel any better. I do however have some very fun pizza cutter winter tires on it :-)

+1000

That is one of the reasons that I will never drive my car during the winter. The roads are hard enough on my truck right now. I couldnt imagine doing that to my car.

It is with deep regret that I must say: I no longer own a 350Z.

Both she and my Cobalt SS have been traded in for a lovely new 335i Coupe. It was so worth it too.

:P Indeed, but there's much more to it than the horsepower.

It's up in the air. I'll definitely be tracking, and I was originally going to use an S2000 this year ... but I'm interested in trying the 335i

QFT!! +1

500+ whp in my old Z is BORING compared to my Exige. Sheer boredom...

I've seen a few of your 3 series non-M's at the track! They do really well at grattan! The 1 series IMO is the most beautiful car that you can purchase from a dealership.

You should look into heading out with the local michigan bmw clubs to some track days! Our main organizer Chris Price is an instructor for the BMW guys and he always has all them showing up to our Great Lakes Lotus Club track days! Great fun all together!! Plus there are always sick nasty cars too... A.Martins, GT2's, GT3's, 2Elevens... lots of just pure insanity on four wheels!

Nice upgrade
The 335i is a fun car but make sure you keep the traction control on...

Bob's had some issues with one leggers..hahah

Expensive car and no limited slip becuase only "M" cars come with it I think is retarded.
Get the Vishnu stage 2 right away, insane power and its DRIVEABLE power thats for sure.

Hey I drive my G all year round so I don't understand the whole need for a beater, or should I drive it stuff...

Good Superbowl too!!!

The reason you dont is because you get a sweet deal on a new lease every year. I would drive it all year round then too. If you owned it and drove it all year round, the Michigan roads and the salt would kill your car after some time. I want my car to last a long time, and not driving it in the winter will definitely help.

Welcome to the club. I hope to be at this event too. I love the nismo Z. You dont have to say, but how much did you pick it up for?

WHP isn't a replacement for experienced track time and a car that handles

I've lapped many of Exige S's at grattan, gingerman, and waterford... reason? More fearless and harder on the brakes

experience will always trump horsepower.

Every GLLC event I've watched a little ol' exige S hold up with a GT3 with mods... not saying the driver in the GT3 isn't also AMAZING! Because he's a veteran too but that exige driver is epic with his vehicle.

Investment in self > Investment in vehicle
