^^ Sorry to hear all the trouble Steve. I just posted in that thread. (My suggestion was related to the leak from the thread area. No sure what to do if it leaks from the bleeder area. I'd have to see how the screw seats. Perhaps there is some debris down in there? Just throwing out ideas.

I may run this past the wife. Considering an Install Party at my house on May 1st. My garage is too tight to work on 2 cars side by side. The driveway has enough pitch to it that it's not ideal for jacking up cars. But engine bay work is fine.

I'll move the beertender to the garage so we can have Heinekin on tap while we work. Afterwards, if y'all aren't too greasy, I have an XBox360 in the basement projecting in HD on a 133" screen. Forza is life sized and Modern Warfare 2 is pretty awesome there too.

This is a good chance to get last minute mods in for ZdayZ.

Post up if interested and what you need to get done.

INTERESTEDZ!

Need to get done:
- Brake pads, rotors, SS lines, and complete fluid flush

I need to remember to tape up my sockets so we all don't end up having each others again like last time lol.

did they removed all the bleed screws when they powdercoated the calipers ? i know you bought them from a crashed car, but rebuilding wasnt very necessary ,to my understanding they didnt look that bad when you posted pictures when first purchased . a simple powerdercoating wouldve taken care of it . anyways i wish i could see the calipers in person to really see what's wrong with it . ohh btw try using some thread locks on the rear lines going into the caliper . if you want to set up sometime i could check the car out for you .

I need to do the sway bars and track down a rattle.

I would like to do SS lines and flush fluids, but I haven't spent that money yet...

Yes, the company that rebuilt them replaced the bleeder screws with non-brembo bleeders.. The dealer charges $56 per 'set' which seems to include one screw and cap. so, $56 x 8 for eight bleeders.. crazy...

The brake line coming into the caliper is fine - no leaks there. Those are brand new Stoptech stainless lines.

I'd love to Brian, thanks for offering to host

I have the following to do
- Front Brake Pads
- Brake Fluid Flush
- SS Lines
- Rotors (may be, don't know)

On a side note, I'd be happy to host if we have many cars that need to go up on jack. My driveway should be able to fit at least 2 cars on jacks and 1 more in the garage. The only problem is, I do not have a 100" screen like Brian does

I need to stop browsing classified threads... A fella on another forum has a set of Megan coilovers for a pretty good price. He had a ~.5"-.75" drop that looked pretty nice.

Who would y'all go to for a coilover install/allignment? What do you expect it would cost?

I think I've just been bitten by the 'spend more money on the car' bug...:P

not yet..

I tried the only two bleeders that came with the calipers (rear) and those worked good so far. Oakos has a set of speed bleeders ($56) that are supposed to fit the 350Z. I'm going to try those in the fronts and hope they fix my little leak issue. Otherwise.. not sure what to do.. Nissan wants $56 per bleeder (tamaroff wants $68 per bleeder).. just crazy.

I'd help if you pay for my gas to get out there lol

And Lee, coilover install, we can do it But you might have to go somewhere to get it corner balanced if you're looking for that.

Trust me, I've had that bug for a looong time. Currently trying to kill it since my roommate is moving out so I need to properly furnish my room with a tv stand and a dining table. Anybody got one for sale?

standard non brembo bleeders will work!! they dont list the thread pitch anywhere for the brembo calipers!!

i had to machine mine out then re-tap them with a tapered thread and use a brass insert with a bleeder. it was a huge pain in the ***, but it has been great for 2 years now. it was all the inside bleeders on every caliper they just snapped off! all because my master cyl failed at 52k miles

You have got to be f-ing sh*^ing me!? What a scam Nissan has going with those.. standard bleeders are $7 compared to $56 for Brembos from courtesyparts.com

What year standard brakes did you take them from? They changed the standard fronts in 06-08.

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a try before I buy these speedbleeders from Oakos.

this is what i have in 5 of 8 of my bleeders. i love these, it sucks having to drill and tap to 1/8NPT on expensive calipers but they never get stuck, wont break and don't leak

Rob, Do you have spark timing vs RPM curves? Or AFR curves? I'd be curious to see. I don't think I still have any of my tuning curves, but I'll check.

And I talked with AJ last night. I guess I'll spill the beans... found an '08 Convertible Vette... Black on black... 1800 miles... 6M... Z51... 3LT... I had to have it. It is SOOOO hard to find an '08 or newer ('08 started the LS3 engine) convertible vette with 6M and Z51 package.

My new toy should be arriving next Monday. Can't wait!!!
