Mike how is the work going on the tranny? The issues I had were from the looks and sounds of it cleared up by the short shifter and warmer weather. Last year not often and the first time I drove it this year it would grind when I put her in third. Now it is ok and seems to be fine and running well.

I sent Andy (Zdayz main Z) an e-mail today asking if he contacted any of the local papers in the Dragon Zone to find out if 235 Z's running up and down the Dragon in the 35th year of the Z would make a nice human interest story! Will keep you all posted to the out come.

I get the new Tranny and Clutch on Friday. I just put the 5th Zaino for the week on today. I ordered some more last night. They have a Z-8 now. Got a bottle of that coming. We will have to try it out on your car when we are in NC.
We are at 235? Wow! What was it last year?

Thanks for the try with the Z-8 and well you would think it would be a lot but it was like 80 for the car show 130 or a bit less all weekend long on and off at times.
235 is a major meet for a second year group of car owners! Makes me proud to be a part of this event!

I could not make to Stony Creek last weekend. Instead I went to check out what was going on at Waterford Hills. There was an open track day, so I wanted to check it out and maybe go next time. I talked to a guy that was tracking his blue performance. He works for Nissan. Two other guys from Nissan were there. One drove a G and the other had an Elise.
I went again to Waterford Hills on Tuesday but this time on the track with the Porsche club. Second time with them and what a blast. I’m planning to go again this summer. They have other events in June and Sept and also one at Gingerman. I’m much faster than last year, got used to driving while pressing fully on either the gas or brake pedal. No coasting…
I did boil the power steering on the last session. It was longer than the others - 25mins and I was more agressive. Not sure if I need the Nismo or Stillen cooler yet.
When is the next meet ?

With the Porsche club it's around $130-150 ped day and it's held on a weekday. You get an instructor that shows you the line, breakfast and lunch is included.
Someone else organizes open sessions on Saturdays for $60 but it is not as safe. I saw several spills off the track during the hour that I was there checking it out. All you get is track time with other people at your speed/level which may mean inexperienced and crash prone drivers. The Porsche club does not tolerate cowboys.
